• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Do you have any complaints about your Telluride?

Depends what you are towing. Yes, a four wire plug is ridiculous on a rig with 5,000 pound rating, looks like the 2021 will take care of that mistake.

For people wanting a serious tow rig, its hard to beat one of the various full sized, four door trucks out there. In my case, I have two small, light weight camping trailers. One weighs in at 1,500 pounds, the other weighs in at 3,500 pounds. I've been towing my trailers with an F150. I think the Telluride will be able to handle either of my trailers, no problem. This gives me more options.

I agree with you. But at 5000 lbs.it is a different story. Had to add electronic break system at the cost of an additional $700.

so... I bought the Telluride one year ago with all the bells and whistles including an extended warranty and was totally disappointed and bummed when all the tech functions quit working after a year - including the GPS. Come to find out it costs $20/month to continue the UVO functions - I have never heard of a vehicle where the GPS would not work without a fee... totally disappointed in Kia... I had a 2008 Amanti I absolutely loved, but have been disappointed in many things with the Telluride... unfortunately I was regretting my decision before this and this has not helped...

I hope it's not true. This would be the only car I've ever bought that you had to pay for a subscription plan to use the Navigation. I feel like I'd have heard more people complain about this if it was the case, but it's definitely alarming to hear. Can anyone else confirm if your UVO expires, you don't have access to the built in navigation?

I wouldnt worry about the not being able to use the navigation, if i were you. Just use the android auto or the one for the iphone (whatever phone you have). I mean, thats what i use. Using google maps or waze is my personal preference, of course. I just find the two to be more reliable and very convenient.

I normally wouldn't care one bit, but due to my job that requires a TON of traveling, and unfortunately not having an unlimited data plan through my cell phone provider, as well as how weak of signal for both data and my phone GPS in the deep mountains, I kind of rely on built in navigation unfortunately.

Ohhhh yes, of course! Yea, in that case, that would really suck if UVO was required to use the navigation!

@StephenCantrelle can you confirm? Surely you don't have to have a UVO subscription to use the navigation.
From what I heard people post you just have to turn off UVO on the car settings and the Navigation works without subscription

You can use the Navigation in the Telluride without a UVO subscription as long as your Telluride is equipped with Navigation which the SX trim is. You can turn the UVO Network off under Navigation settings and Use Network and you would uncheck the Use UVO Network box which is on Page 9-15 of the attached Telluride Infotainment System Guide. I included the UVO packages and what they cover and it does not affect the Navigation if your Telluride is equipped other than you won't be able to search the network for destinations without connection to the UVO network as most of UVO is for remote access features like remote start and location of vehicle when parked along with the ability to send destination commands from the app and using Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa with voice commands from home from what I am seeing.

Wait...you mean Kia expects people to read their manuals in order to get their navigation to work? How dare they!

uvo blocks navigation if there is no subscription. You need to disable uvo in the settings and navigation will works.

So such a minor quibble, but damn does my right knee kill me where it naturally rests against the middle console after driving for a while. I love that grab handle in the middle, just wish it was slightly more padded!

I'd recommend working on the seat adjustments a bit more. And use the thigh extension. I've found a comfortable position and don't rest my knee on there anymore. I am 6'2. Otherwise, yes, resting the knee on there can be uncomfortable for long periods.

I have an EX, so I don’t have any thigh adjustment that can be made that I’m aware of anyway, but I’ll definitely keep playing with the positioning of the seat for sure. Today was only the third time I’ve gotten to drive it, and it was for 100 mile round trip, and boy was that digging into me. To be fair, this is not the first car I’ve had this issue with by any means. In fact, the only car I’ve had that was padded there was my X3, and that was what I traded in for the Telly, so I’m guessing that’s why I’m noticing it so much.

Oh yeah, I forgot! Thought you got an SX, but I remember your story with EXP. Try angling the seat up a bit more maybe. That's what I did to get enough support for leg. Using auto hold is nice too - helps to be able to relax leg at stoplights.

Must be an old man problem, I haven’t noticed yet. 😂 I kid, I kid
