• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Front licence plate mounting options

There is another post for the front license plate where I posted a photo of 3 drill hole locations on the front bumper. I would like to assume that the dealer used these for installation.
The dealer provided me with THIS front license plate mount (also see screenshot below) in the back of the Telluride. And the dealer (I presume) made 3 small indents on the front of the body where the mount screws (provided also by the dealer) go. The mount lines up perfectly where the small indents are. Do I just manually screw the three provided screws into the small dents into the body? Will that be sufficient to hold the mount in place?

Short answer is yes - my dealer sent me my bracket separately and I mounted it myself, just used a regular screw driver and those screws pictured, a little bit of firm pressure and those screws will go right into the indents (three indents probably put into bumper at the factory before shipping to dealer) and holds the bracket up just fine. The screw packet I got did not have screws to actually mount the plate to the bracket however, so I went to autozone and found screws to secure the plate to the bracket.

Dealer installed mine using those 3 mounting points. It is quite secure. HTH

I did NOT drill holes. Many Auto manufacturers use double back tape to even fasten many panels on vehicles... I bought and used some 3M and it has been on the front of my 2020 T-Ride SXP for almost 2 years...weather and car washes...still holding the plate on. I don't like drilling holes in a vehicle unless necessary.

This is helpful info. Thank you. I'll go ahead and install that mount today.

If your required in your state to have a plate, why the reluctance to drill holes and mount the factory plate? It's going to look better than most other alternatives.

Maybe the next owner of your vehicle doesn't need a plate there...Maybe you think you will have it forever??? or...live in the same state forever??? Oh well...it's your decision..and vehicle.

Is there a web site that sells this ?

Living in PA, don't have one and don't need it. I bought mine used and it fortunately didn't have it mounted. If it did, it wouldn't of been a deal breaker if it was screwed into the bumper. I would say at least half the cars I purchased used(usually from Ohio for some reason) have the front plate mounted with screws into the bumper AND double sided tape, be it Audi, BMW or and other manufacturer. I would not trust tape alone in this situation, that just me.

I would predrill the holes at the precise location with a small drill bit a few sizes smaller. It will make the plate symmetrical and uniform in its location. My OCD issues applied.

I just drilled three holes to install front end license plate. Never felt so good. This is about as much DIY I can do myself though. Lol.

Bracket that came with the car[in hidden compartment in cargo], looks way better on my black copper SX NF than any thing available on market. I tried looking at options but couldn't see anything better than default kia bracket. It fits seamlessly.

If they were required here in MI I'd go with a retractable plate and have it wired to auto retract on shutoff
