If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Has anyone been successful in placing an order in the last week for an AWD telluride?

The dealership i'm working with is not accepting any orders.

Is there any accepted wisdom as to who is faster Fowler or Muncie? Obviously both well regarded here

Fowler is higher volume- but you also have to weigh that by number of outstanding orders. But my guess is Fowler is faster.

Place an order today for a Telluride from Muncie. Worked with Lucas, all done over email and it was fast and simple. He told me to expect 10-12+ months. Hopefully its not in the "+" category, but who knows. I've been reading a lot on here and trying to get a grasp on things before I ordered. I ordered a SXP N AWD in Gravity Grey / Black. I know..very popular model. I'm excited to get it. We just adopted our first child and need to get something that is more practical than my F250.

New to the forum. Place an order with Munich Jan 18th. Decided to call Fowler about some Tellurides on their site. Of course they were all reserved, but low and behold an EX gravity grey with captain's chairs will arrive on the 25th of April unallocated. So I dropped my deposit and arranged for shipping once it hits the lot. I know it's not technically an order, but 5 weeks and pure luck is something I wanted to share. I was told by Javier that two SX's and another EX will be arriving around the same time unallocated.

Picked up my Telluride yesterday from Ricart Kia in Columbus, OH. Was a great experience! Paid MSRP, was in and out in about an hour.

I called on March 2nd to see if they had any incoming units available, they had one I wanted so they put my name on it. The ETA was 3/18, but it arrived 3/14. They do not deliver so I had to fly, but it was well worth the trip to get my vehicle in 2 weeks!

Thanks for posting this! I called my sales rep and slid my order from my current to an SX that they had available end of April! :)

That's what's up. Congrats. Y'all helped me avoid Atlanta prices and it feels good spreading the wealth
Same here! Except we have Southern California prices and these dealerships are just RAKING in the cash! Not happening to my wallet haha

That's great which one did you take? Did you have to switch up your colors or anything?

I had to switch up the exterior color, from Black to Dark Moss, but that's ok! It's an SX Dark Moss with butterscotch interior :)

Fowler and Arapahoe in Colorado both were charging $695 over MSRP for their dealer fee. However, Arapahoe was quoting almost half on shipping. Fowler marked up their options but told me that is because Kia had an increase in pricing. The website hasn’t reflected it yet.

What options changed and by what amount?

All of them. Some by a few hundred and some by $20-$50
It'd be very helpful if you can be specific. Seems odd that they would have higher pricing than other dealers so having specific on which options and by how much would be helpful for the folks considering ordering from i25. Would be very helpful for them to know If they'll end up paying more there than other locations and by how much.

Been sitting on this review for sometime as I wasn't sure if this goes in Good or Bad dealer experiences. But here goes (with a moral of the story at the end for good measure...).

Called around to a number of dealers throughout the NE Ohio area and beyond. Chose to go with Kia of Bedford because I was able to grab what I wanted off of dealer allocation and waited a little over a month rather than 6 months from somewhere else. Also chose to pay $4k over invoice because 1) I figured waiting I may have to pay that much in increased interest rates and a likely 2023 model year price increase).

Good:
- Ryan Hollo our sales person. He was awesome start to finish. No nonsense and kept us informed (the arrival date kept changing but, eventually, it arrived on the day it was originally projected to come in) throughout. No pressure and kept his word to get me in and out of the dealership on the day I took delivery.
- Was able to get approved for credit that beat the Navy Fed Credit Union rate. Got that done when we submitted the order officially (but should have gotten it in writing....more on that to come.)

Bad:
- I likely would not have known if it wasn't for the fact that I chose to get the car graphene coated, but the vehicle had a bunch of scratches/pock marks in the paint. Not necessarily the dealers fault but some of it may have been caused by the wash at the dealership prior to my pick-up. If this is a concern, heed others' advice to tell them not to wash the car!
-
Everything was smooth sailing until about halfway through the finance discussion when I noticed that the APR on the loan was 2.5% points higher than I was quoted during the earlier mentioned sales process. Eventually, through reapplying I was able to drop it about a point and got the finance rep to throw in 100K Platinum Warranty for the friends and family cost of $1300. I'm refinancing now with NFCU.

Moral of the story:
- Get EVERYTHING in writing. I was hosed when talking with the Finance Rep because I only had had a phone conversation with the lower rate when applying earlier. I should have at the very least confirmed with Ryan that the rate was still good before I set foot in the dealership to pick up the car. I blame the dealer for not honoring the rate and myself for not getting the rate offer in writing.
