• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Are you in?

If we have ten real commitments (in the next 7 days), I'm going to need y'all's contact information if we go through with this and they accept:

Borla Perfomance Industries, Inc.
Part #11965 = Borla Exhaust for 2020-2021 Kia Telluride
Oxnard, CA

View attachment 18180

I might also need y'all to sign or digitally sign a Group Purchase Agreement if this thing is a go.

Minimum quantity: 10 Borla exhausts (if there's enough interest for 15 or 17 or whatever, we can raise the quantity demanded)

Price: $300.00 USD out-the-door, including tax, up to $330.00 USD if they include Oxnard+CA total sales taxes + standard ground shipping.

Please feel free to agree, disagree, discuss, debate and leave all comments, critiques and feedback below.

I will try to get in touch with them perhaps as soon as Monday/Tuesday next week and make an initial offer of $300 USD for 10+ exhausts and gauge their response.

The big question: at the price range indicated above, are you in? :)

300 I'm in and voted so. Not sure why they would cut 50% but I applaud the enthusiasm.

Again with the loud family SUV🤭 I think some here will be looking for Borla systems on their next electric car. Making the same sense. Haha, have fun.🥴

Ahh we were all the same young kids who rode our pedal bikes with a crushed pop can on the back tire 😂 or a card In The spokes 😂. When a telly passes you your like, what’s that? And a telly with Borla passes you your like ,what in the hell is that? 😂

If you believe this guy, if you don't drivel like a maniac and drive normal, he claims you can see 1 to 1.5 MPG increase in fuel economy. I'm in - but my question is - could you clarify this:

Does that mean I would pay $300 PLUS shipping Cost (so, if shipping was $65, I'd pay total of $365)? But if they include taxes I would pay $330 PLUS shipping?

With me we have 6 so far.

It means if they include nothing, $300.

I’ll venture $330 if they include Oxnard/CA taxes and/or shipping.

I want something for the extra $30

Does anyone know if installing Borla exhaust voids warranty?
That's a good question - I doubt it thought. I installed an after-market exhaust on my Corvette and had no issues with warrenty. If it does, I'd be sure to keep the original if you're worried about it.

i’m not a regular mom, i’m a cool mom. 🙄
Perfect comeback!

See post #19 in this thead. @twincam23 answered that.

We have 13 parties?

Is that correct?

So let me count everyone up:

Let me know if I listed you and you're not in and if this list is correct or needs correction in any way.

If they accept our terms, we're going to have to do a standard Group Purchase Agreement and digitally sign it somehow.

Hopefully they don't force us to use a group bank account, otherwise we'll have to figure that part out ourselves.

#10 @Atlanta
#11 @Telly944 (hopefully they let you and me pick up our exhausts directly. we can always ask them)
#12 @Nightsky93
#13 @slickzigtheruler

Again, I'll put together a friendly proposal for a group buy that they may accept or decline and even if they decline, we can draft another proposal and see if they like the second one, and third one, and so on.

If they won't budge from $390, 25 minimum order, then we're stuck until more people are in.

For this first go, I'm shooting for $300, 10 minimum offer, (hopefully 12-13 are committed)

We'll accept $330 if they throw in shipping and those crazy California taxes.

I'll pay the shipping to Canada if that's an issue.

Customs?

Do we still have to pay that with the USMCA?

So, are you in?

Or are we down to 12 in? :)

Lucky 13? 🍀😋

Okay good people, I have the rest of the week off and will attempt to connect with some friendly Borla people.

I feel comfortable broaching a price/quantity negotiation with a 10+ minimum order.

If we have 11 or 12 of us in, great.

If not, a solid 10 in should get us a price we want.

If Borla won’t budge, we can counter or find a direct competitor that will work with us.

or...

I’ve always wanted a HAAS CNC machine to make cool stuff out of blocks of aluminum and steel... 🇺🇸☝️🥳

@DarkMossJustin could also reach out to Gibson or Edelbrock and see if they are interested in a 10 person test fit/sample run for the telly

Great idea.

We need some options.

If you were to rank Gibson and Edelbrock and Borla in terms of quality, sound, general reputation, how would you rank them?

Borla’s pricing way up possibly because of the insanely high costs of living and doing business in California.

Where are Gibson and Edelbrocks manufactured/located?
