How do I change cities for my weather widget?

How do I change cities for my weather widget? It shows a city I don’t live in and when I click on other cities it has other cities I don’t live by and it won’t let me search for my city?

Click the link in post 20. If your city doesn’t broadcast HD radio, you won’t see it as an option. You could update to the latest software to use internet-based weather service.

I’m on HD radio channel and it still displays weather from a city 300 miles away?

If there are no stations broadcasting near you then the weather app will show the next closest towns that do have HD broadcast stations.

This is the message you will see if you don’t have HD stations nearby. Even if you are able to pick up HD radio music stations.



You could update your head unit to v15 software and it would pick up your precise location for weather services using cell data instead.

That’s what seems to be my issue. I installed this version and now no local weather on HD or cell service. I’m not sure what I’m missing, the phone is connected via Bluetooth. Can someone elaborate a little more please. Thanks

If you did any update at all, you would have lost HD radio weather services on the EX and SX trims. Both Foreca and Viasala weather services update based on your location using cellular data. So if you are not seeing the correct weather location, either your GPS is not working correctly, or the the cell antenna in your car is pinging a cell tower from far away.

You could try resetting the head unit with the button by the volume knob. Check if your location using the navigation map is correct. Unless your UVO account is tied to the wrong address. This affected one owner’s remote scheduling time zone. In this instance, had to call UVO customer service to correct.

No other idea why your location would be incorrect for weather. Maybe the next update would help.

I'm having this same issue as well. Traffic and Doppler detects ok. But the default city always defaults to Detroit.

Same problem. Mine is stuck on a city north of me (Monterey, CA). Anyone in here who knows a solution?
