Hello all,
My name is Tim from CA and I am a new member that’s been lurking this forum while searching for a Telluride to purchase at MSRP, which isn’t easy in my state. Surprisingly, I received a call last night from Valencia Kia stating that a SXP Nightfall with white/dune brown will be arriving next month at MSRP, so I quickly out a deposit down.
However, there is a catch and that is a $5k dealer add on that will be included, which consist of mud guard, bumper protector, cross bar, side step, and all weather floor mat. When I checked Kia‘s website the total for the items cost under $1,500, which means there’s a installation fee of around $3,500 for something I can do in an hour in my garage. When I voiced my concern I was given an option of replacing some of the items I don’t want with other accessories they offer, but it‘s still not sitting well with me. I plan on visiting the dealer this weekend to see they will be willing to sell some of the accessories without charging labor. Fingers crossed.
Anyway, I appreciate all the resources this forum provides and look forward to spending a lot of time here.
