• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just ordered

In some cases lower brands are OEM for others but you really don’t have a clue if you think KIA and BMW are equal in quality.

It all depends.

The original X3 had an interior that would simply be embarrassed by the Telluride and today, would pick any # of non-lux branded compact models over the CLA/GLA.

Please guys be real. Quit blowing smoke up each others buts and talking Ego's and such. When it all comes down to it, Its a KIA suv vs a BMW suv. They are not in the same class, not a knock on Kia, or BMW. It could be Ford, Chevy, Honda. It's not a luxury brand so your not directly comparing apples to apples. I'd never pay 45,000 on a Kia and expect Acura, Audi, BMW quality.

Having the same level of kit, a $45k Kia may end up having just about as nice of an interior (if that is what means by quality).

In terms of fit and finish, doesn't really matter if a lux brand or not.

You have to compare the same vintage because manufacturing, supplier, etc has significant changes over the years.

The 2003 Kia Sorento isn’t remotely close to the original 2003 X3 so your point is meaningless.

I guarantee his point is meaningful to him, and likely others. If it truly means nothing to you, simply pass it by without comment.

Not comparing the 2003 Sorento to the 2003 X3, but the 2003 X3 to other compact lux-branded vehicles at the time.

The X3's interior was roundly criticized for its chintzy feel (far inferior to that of its car sibling, the 3 Series, at the time) and on top of that, the X3's ride was poor (jittery).

The reason why I also brought up the CLA/GLA is that they have the same issues in today's market (for instance, the interior of the A3 blows away that of the CLA).

Speaking of the CLA, that and the ILX are 2 of the top models that have the most dissastisfied owners.

Which was leads back to my point - simply being adorned w/ a lux-badge doesn't mean that it has a lux-grade interior or even a lux-grade ride.

Esp. that there are numerous lux-badged vehicles which are basically tarted-up versions of mainstream vehicles (the Civic rides/drives better than the ILX which is on an older platform) or even basically rebadges (the Mercedes X-Trail and Citan are rebadges of a Nissan and Renault).
