Kia Just Opened Up Orders on the SX Prestige

After much wait I’m proud to announce that Kia has opened up the orders for the SX model. If you wanted to know what’s the holdup was, “Rims and Leather” the Kia rep told us to not go crazy and order 30 but a dozen is ok. The downside is we have about a dozen deposits on the car. And for those wondering, we will honor your Yrue Car price.

He said 8-10 weeks on the earlier side but to not be surprised if it goes up to 16 weeks. Yes this is for prestige package. I missed the initial cutoff by one day and have been considering this car since January so I'm not phased by the wait.

At least those of us who ordered in april/may are saving a couple more months of payments since they still have not arrived. This will offset the conquest cash being gone..................

I put $1000 down. I never got an estimated delivery date, just "it's ordered".

I have put orders on 2 now and haven't had to put a deposit on either.

I placed an order yesterday as well and was quoted 8-16 weeks. Hopefully this means that Kia has significantly reduced the backlog, which would be good news for people who ordered before the initial cutoff as well as those placing new orders... Otherwise it means dealerships are giving lofty ETAs to keep customers' hopes up only for them to encounter the same frustrations that were experienced when the backlog ballooned the first time around. Fingers crossed it's the former.

Another thought about prior orders are their dealer just screwed up unless they have a vin.
