• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... List the thing(s) that annoy you about your Telluride

Agreed. Even worse than that, there's no relationship between the seat memory profiles and the infotainment profiles. I would expect that when I open or start the car with my key, it (1) puts my seat into the associated memory position automatically (our Acura did this), and (2) loads the associated driver profile in the infotainment system automatically. And at the very least, when I press one of the seat memory positions, it should load my driver profile too in the infotainment system. It does neither of those. Big miss in an otherwise pretty good system.

The cheap truck cover looks like nothing more that piece of carpeted pressboard. Coming from a 2012 RT dodge durango which has similar configuration of the back, the Telluride lacks the quality in that department at least.
Agree with this 100%. And the short extremely short range of key FOB.

It would be the transmission lever being a physical one as opposed to electronic where I could turn off the car so that it would set it to auto park.

I picked my Telluride up yesterday, then drove it back home. This is notable only because I'm 712 miles from the dealership.

I noticed last night that the dash light dimmer switch affects all the dashboard back lights, the center console lights, and the power window backlights. However, it has no effect on the center display. My '21 Sonata works the same way. I'm not sure why center display backlighting does not follow the other dash lighting settings. It's truly a minor annoyance.

My biggest complaint is the side winglets in the front seats. I have major back issues and the way my spine relaxes at a slight angle, it feels like I'm getting poked in the ribs by the right winglet. The lumbar is also more effective on the outside of the seat than the inside, forcing me to sit at an angle. I'm currently experimenting with different seat pads, but I wish the winglet and lumbar had adjustablility.

Overall I love my telly, but these are my gripes.

- I find the driver seat lumbar support pretty bad/limited.
- Android auto is extremely finicky. Some days it works other days it doesn't.
- Voice to text: locked behind a subscription.
- Plastic oil filter housing (i'm just waiting for a aftermarket metal one to come out)
- Cargo cover feels cheap.

Had my tubby for about a month now and I have some observations.

- still getting "used to" android auto. Sometimes I wonder how operator error and how much questionable design.

Some things (that escape my kind right now unless I'm driving) make me think the experience is less than slick and that apple would have gotten it right. But it is what it is.

- all this beeping and sensing makes me a little irritated at times. Other times I do appreciate the continual assessment. Lane sense doesn't like the way I sometimes late signal or just don't signal if I'm completely alone. It will beep and pull me back to center and forces me to signal in order to defeat the sensor.

It also pulls me around when I want to "straighten or flatten" the road.

- rain sensing wipers can be defeated by intense hail and actually become a visual problem because of the ferocious wiping

I'm sure there are others ... but overall I'm pretty happy so I just keep positive

Just in case you aren't aware... you can disable any or all of the beeping, sensing and driving assist. Or you can tell it to only beep and not assist, etc. You can assist on a per function basis.

Android Auto works best when you use voice assist. Tell it to text, or navigate to, or read your messages, etc.

Yeah I'm just figuring out whether I want it left on or just shut it off.

Getting used to voice assist as well.

- Plastic oil filter housing (i'm just waiting for a aftermarket metal one to come out)

^^^this is on my list as well as...
-rusting exhaust tip
-weak glass
...i don't drive it daily...hoping the list doesn't grow

Only has it for a half day, but drove it 300+ miles.

- Seats in SX Prestige are painfully firm. I had the same complaint about Ioniq 5 Limited ventilated seats.
- HUD is useless with polarized glasses. Basically anywhere it is sunny.
- CarPlay overheats my iPhone 12 mini. The charging plus CarPlay projection just overtaxes it. The phone is HOT.
- The whole media/radio UI needs a complete rework. I though the ID.4 system was bad but the Kia system is worse.
- Low end torque and acceleration in this car is straight up garbage. If there was an argument for a plug-in hybrid this is example number one. My RAV4 Prime had power from the start and even felt faster at 80+ mph than the Telluride. Of course it has 302hp for a much smaller vehicle.
- I know they enable auto stop/start for EPA mpg reasons but I wish we could permanently disable it without buying an OBD-II dongle.
- HDA is great until it is not. Too many ways to trigger it. Give me Mach-E and Tesla simplicity - one button activation. It does work well… except for when lanes that split(exits) and or a car violently drives across two lanes in front of you (disengages). Still… very good. Slows down as necessary and stays engaged after changing lanes.
- Want bench seats on top trim. Don’t care for captain chairs.

I disabled my start stop with a 3 cent zip tie

I heard this works - 2020-2022 Kia Telluride Autostop Eliminator

For me.. I also want to default to Sport mode and maybe high AC on. I wonder if there is an OBD-II solution (dongle plus software) to program the car to certain defaults?

Oh, I'm wrong about the Telluride and sign reading. It does scan for speed signs but only seems to show it on the HUD (which disappears if you wear sunglasses like me).

Just be aware that the Telluride doesn’t currently scan or read any signs. It simply displays the information in the navigation database.

That explains some things. My other cars (mostly EVs) immediately change the speed sign display as I drive past but the Telluride does not dynamically update.

So 2023 will have dynamic sign reading then (one of the listed features) and HDA2.

I think I have identified the location of the rattle, in the roof between the back and front sunroof! Driving me so crazy, I have been driving with my hand up there pushing it in. :)

Were you able to resolve the rattle?

Were you able to resolve the rattle?
Our EX has an occassional rattle from behind the sunroof, in the vicinity of the light/climate control cluster mounter on the roof. It's not always there and pressing up on the back of the control cluster seems to silence it. No idea what the source of it is.

Thanks. I had a rattle for a few days that was driving me crazy. It’s amazing how grating it is to hear it… I think I isolated to something on one of the back seats although there is nothing obvious.
