• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... List the thing(s) that annoy you about your Telluride

1) The way Sofino Leatherette feels like when you wipe it with ANY wet rag. Its like wiping a rubber seat with a rubber rag.

2) All black interior. I get demoralized by how often it needs cleaned.

3) I feel like this car cant be kept for many years like my older cars. I just know everything is gonna fall apart. An expensive technology repair, etc.
An LX isn’t particularly more advanced than any new vehicle. Your concern is geared towards all new vehicles in general. Probably what people driving a Dodge Dart (original one) said about your Beretta.

Following up on the lumbar support complaint from earlier...Just took a 2500+ mile road trip, two people and three dogs. Zero complaints except...again, after three hours, back hurts. Seats just aren't that comfortable. It's a bummer, because otherwise it was a great travel vehicle. Yosemite, Mammoth, Zion...and a sore back.

I just did a 1500 mile trip, a couple of 10 hr days and we all got out feeling great. I can drive this thing all day. I guess it depends on the individual.

Seats are a little firm but they should wear well. I've had really comfy seats in cars and the seats are shot by 100k. I've ridden in some Subarus, I think they use concrete park benches in those. Worst seats I've ever seen are the Ascent and a 2014 Forester my mother in law had. Three hours in that thing and we were all laying down on the concrete driveway to relax.

They seem like they are decent quality, just not right ergonomically for me (or wife, hers hurts too). I tried changing the lumbar support adjustment, no dice. Nowhere near as comfy as my daily driver, but they are very different vehicles (Tesla Model S)

Ok new thing that annoys me. I could do this on my Durango but not on the Telluride. The ability to scroll through XM channels from my steering wheel vs reaching all the way over the right console. I hate that. Put some controls behind the steering wheel!
I know currently you can do it with your "favorite" channels but sometimes a guy just wants to channel surf.

Except you actually can do this.

As you know, a quick flip of the steering wheel toggle will cycle through your presets. But if you flip and hold, it will scan through all available stations on the band you’re on.

You can reverse that function with the April 2022 navigation system update if you so desire, making it even simpler to scan.

Interesting I did not know that

My telly is 1 year old. The acceleration is garbage!! Flat out trash. It's been getting worse too. Just changed air filter but that did nothing. Many people are complaining about lack of power from this engine. Especially around the 25 to 30 mph area. These telly engines are weak.

I wouldn't say it's garbage, it lacks torque is my biggest complaint. Not sure if you've been using top tier gas as well as Techron. That could be it. Or if you're coming from a more powerful vehicle? Compared to my s60 polestar, yes very weak. But compared to the QX60 we had before, it's actually more powerful.

I’m coming from a 4 cylinder Mazda cx-5 and it feels like a rocket ship. That’s not to say it might be lagging in its class.

Then I'd take it to the dealer as something is wrong. I often select those as rentals as I travel a bunch and the Telluride has noticeably more power.

Big, naturally aspirated V6 engines are great for smooth, linear power flow -- probably why they are commonly selected for large family haulers -- but they always seem to be a bit short on torque. If you look at comparable V6 engines in this class from Jeep, Nissan, Toyota, etc., the less-than-generous peak torque specs are very similar. (Telly: 262 lb.-ft.; Jeep: 257; Nissan: 259; Toyota: 263.) In contrast, I had a 2.0 four-cylinder turbo in my Cherokee that made 295 lb.-ft.

However, calling the acceleration "garbage" or "trash" is silly Internet venting. The engine overall is perfectly adequate.

I love the telluride but there is one thing that really bothers me, and I know affects a small set of users. I live in Russell County Alabama. Alabama is in the central time zone except for Russell County which is in Eastern. This is because we are a bedroom community for Columbus GA which is in the Eastern Time zone, so residents cross the time zone barrier every day. I cannot tell the Telluride to ignore time zone barriers. I could do this on past Toyotas and Lexus's, cell phones and even on my Buick. There is a switch in the settings to not use time zone changes, but the car still does it, so my clock is always an hour early at home in order to be on time in Columbus. I am a software engineer with over 30 years' experience and know this would be a simple fix. Having this property of the clock unable to be changed just looks like poor product management or quality control

I mean the telluride feels like a rocket ship, in comparison.

Especially when you switch it to sport mode

We are new 2023 Telluride SX XP-Pro owners. We upgraded from a 2022 Santa Fe Limited. The issue we are having and were having with the Santa Fe is I have been unable to get the time not to change time when we cross the river into another time zone. We live in a city that borders another city that is in another time zone. Years ago our city agreed to honor EST even though GPS wise we are CST. The issue we are having is even if you uncheck Set time automatically the clock still changed time when you cross time zone. Does anyone know how to keep the time from changing? We had the same issue with the Santa Fe and Hyundai never came up with a solution.

Could it be different profiles? The settings are unique to each stored user profile. My wife mentioned the clock was an hour behind when she drives, but it's fine for me. Had to check the "DST" under date/time in settings for her profile.

That's a thought. I will double check. I am handicapped so the wife does most of the driving and I know her profile is set. I have tried every combination of settings I can think of. I am almost 100% sure it is a software fix it needs. The time doesn't change on my Ford truck when I cross time zones and all I had to do was to uncheck Set Time Automatically.
