• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I couldn’t find many posts regarding this, but our middle air vents are not blowing in our 2022 Telluride S. Even on max it feels like those vents are set to 1 bar. I just got back from the dealer and they told me this is the design by Kia. I just don’t see how that’s true and our 1 year old is sweating every time we ride in the car. Anyone else have this issue? Moving soon so I’m going to get a second opinion in a few months.

I have an EX, which I imagine works the same as the S. I've not messed with the rear settings much at all since no one has ridden in the rear yet, but pressing the physical REAR button on the front dash presents a couple settings in the display, which touching the fan icon will display the adjustable speed setting for the rear vents. At least in the EX, I can also adjust the rear temp and fan speed settings from the backseat controls.

If you are talking about the ceiling vents in the 2nd row:
  1. check that the slide adjustment is set for flow directly to the passenger seat, not the diffuse setting.
  2. set fan direction to the face, you won’t really feel any air blowing if set to any other directions.
  3. manually set fan speed to 4 or higher, lower fan speeds you won’t really feel it moving air
  4. manually turn on the AC compressor if the button is not lit on the front climate controls
I also regularly ride with kids in the second row and need to manually adjust all the settings mentioned above to keep them comfortable in the second row in the summer.

If you easily get cold in the front, set exactly how you need it in the rear, press sync, then toggle the front passenger temp to unsync and adjust the front settings as desired. I hate using the climate controls with the Rear button on the infotainment, takes longer with the lag. If the rear climate is off, I reach back to press the temp/fan button on the ceiling, press sync, and adjust quickly.

Benny is saying the three middle FRONT vents do not blow air, whether it be A/C or heat. I have been having that same issue since last summer. Now the heat doesn't blow either. YES, the vents are moved to the fan position. Is there a button to make sure they blow? The front side vents work fine.

Just wondering if you figured this out. I have the same issue.

Has anyone found a resolution for this issue? I'm noticing it in my 2021 EX. I turn the fan all the way up and it is a loud blowing sound out of the main defrost area in the center, though it's not that strong of an airflow coming out. There is some air coming out of the left and right defrosters and the driver and passenger side vents. Again, not strong, but something. However, those 3 vents in the center of the console have nothing coming out. I made sure they were completely open and there is barely a trickle out of the right hand vent and that's it. When I put the rear vents on, they have a stronger airflow than anything up front. Very frustrating.

Can't believe I missed this before, but I pressed the directional button multiple times and it cycled through defrost/feet/face and the vents worked fine when it got to the face/body direction setting. It doesn't seem to retain that setting when you turn off Auto though. I have to cycle through each time. It may be different in AC mode as I don't recall this issue over the summer. Maybe it's all by design.

As long as you don't press Auto again from manual control, it should retain the last fan direction setting when you turn your car off and back on again.
