If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just emailed salesman & was told he didnt have an exact number if how many orders were before us...but guessed there were about 300 before my order, but that they dont necessarily get picked up in order.. place my order 03/09/22 & was told 5-8 months. Stated new thread just for other Moritz customers to share wait times & experiences. Thank you

We just placed our order on Thursday and we were told 3-5 months. It seems like it’s really all just a guessing game at this point, but really hoping ours is made and delivered before they start making 2023s!

I placed an order in early January. Still no VIN number or date. Told they're dulfillong December orders

Ordered mine from Mortiz-Ft. Worth on 2/15/22, told 3-4 months, very little communication from my sales rep (all intiated by me). I reached out to another dealership was told that most are taking 6-8 months, Also was told they will start on 2023's in September with them hitting the dealerships in October, so I am right on that bubble.

Did they give you any info on pricing for the 2023s or other impacts to existing orders?

No, they did not, he said the dealerships do not have thier 2023 packets yet. As far as existing orders, he just said that mine was right there on the bubble, I ordered a SX FWD (instead of AWD), I have not seen any delivered to Mortiz Ft. Worth since Janurary in FWD (SX/FWD), so you would think I would not have a lot in front of me and he thought maybe I would get picked up sooner.
I thought about changing to EX Premimum since I have not gotten picked up yet but he did not think that would make a differnece.

I ordered mine from Moritz Alliance on 12/1 and still haven't heard anything about my order being picked up.

I just bought a Sorento from them.. got tired of waiting on the Telluride.. great buying experience except the finance guys trying to sell the extended warranty after telling them no 5-6 times.. they actually beat my credit union interest rate too.

I have one ordered from January with Mortiz in Hurst. Asked for an update last week, said there is a backlog but that I am on page 4 of 10. He said there maybe some backouts coming up as people are making other plans so if a similar build comes up he will let me know.

I am glad your sales rep will respond to you, mine, not so much, so I called Kia thinking they could give me information, all they did was reach out to my rep to get information I already knew (that Kia had not picked it up yet), was wanting to find out were in the line I was. It took Kia reaching out to him 3 times before he finally responded to them.

I get your frustration. I ordered about 2 weeks after you did (different dealer). Was told 3 - 6 months which I've come to learn from this forum has been pretty much 6+ months with this dealer. I feel led on to some extend as I think they knew it would be 6+ months when I ordered. As many on here know their exact spot in line, my dealer avoided that question and just told me the order hasn't been picked up yet. I guess I have to be patient. Very curious to see whether it'll be a '22 or '23 as I "should" be getting mine beginning to mid September. I'm also eyeing the upcoming Mazda CX-90. We have had a CX-5 for 4 years now and it's been a great car but we need a bigger vehicle.

Yep, it's frustrating for sure! I did speak to a GM at another dealership and he took the time to answer some of my questions. I asked how some people know where they are in line and I was told by my sales rep that they do not have that information. The GM told me that the sales rep can find out that information but it is time consuming and a lot of dealerships don't want their sales rep to mess with it. My thought is, dealerships with great customer service will take the time for their customers, but in this day and time, great or even good customer service is hard to find.
I have looked at a few other options, I love the looks of the new Nissan Pathfinder, but the reviews were not good. I have waited this long, I am going to try and be patient and hold out for what I really want, if I cave, I think I will regret it in the end.

Fully agree. A lot of businesses don't care about their customers anymore, and if you sell a product that people line up for on a 6+ month wait list, it is tempting to care even less. There are still good ones out there, they're just hard to find. Have the same thoughts about the Pathfinder. Good thing is I'm not in a complete rush to buy. We'll all get our Telluride, we're more than half way there (hopefully)!

I'm not in a rush either, so that is good. Yes we will eventially get it and it will be all worth it.

Perhaps. But maybe you shouldn't think of selecting a more pragmatic alternative as "caving," but as satisficing. This can lead to less regret, not more, especially for decisions that have short-term rather than lifelong consequences.

That is very discouraging to hear. More and more I'm thinking I am never going to get this vehicle and all the waiting will have been for nothing. Seems like they have no incentive to work with us or try to keep us happy because of the demand.

That was where ee were at.. after reading this blog & seeing some having their orders canceled when dealers told them they were not going to get fulfilled in a reasonable amount of time i caved.. but i Love the Sorento Sx Prestige xline!! Love it!! I am glad we went ahead & made the purchase as we have a huge family vacation in Nov & our parents are riding with us & wanted them to be comfortable!!

Just received an email from my dealership stating that the Kia plant has over 870,000 vehicles (Telluride, Sorento, K5) in the order banks and that the wait for the Telluride has gone up to 10 months. I think its pretty safe to say we'll be getting '23s, which is a 50/50 chance deal breaker for me. With the recent developments/politics regarding gas prices, I'm starting to think about a Hybrid instead (Toyota Highlander or upcoming Mazda CX 90).

Hello neighbor. This is my dealership as well. Passed on my 2022 I ordered in January. It was delivered to them the first week of June. Once I saw the 2023 XPro I decided to wait. Now the wait to reorder. Thankfully I am in a position to wait.

Another data point.... I ordered an SX from Moritz Fort Worth on January 10 and was quoted 4 to 6 months. I picked up my vehicle last Friday, June 24... so it was right at 5.5 months. As many (including me) have previously posted in this forum, even with a high-volume dealer, your wait time will be heavily influenced by which trim level you ordered. SX trims are far and away the largest volume seller, so those trims will be filled alot faster than LX, S, and EX trims. If you ordered an LX, S, or EX trim your wait time is likely to be alot longer than what your dealer quoted you.

I will say that communication from my sales rep at Moritz Fort Worth wasn't great. He always responded when I contacted him, but there wasn't much proactive contact, updates, etc. Personally, I wasn't upset about that because the sales reps are swamped... and given that, if you don't purchase the vehicle, they have 10 other people who will be at the store in hours to take your spot, there isn't really much incentive to provide exceptional customer service. Your best bet is to check Failcat regularly... but other than that, the process is a black box.
