KIA called our store directly and asked for the oldest Telluride orders that we had in our system. Here is where it gets interesting. They also asked for Purchase Order/Bill of Sale and Proof of Deposit. They also wanted all of this information sent to them. We had zero problem on our end producing everything they requested. I have a feeling the KIA dealers not being honest are going to have bogus orders yanked away. Stay tuned friends.

I say this because I Kia has been struggling to keep up with the demand for this platform from its inception, and it has only gotten worse since the winning of numerous accolades. There are a couple of reputable dealers across the country that have had customers waiting for months on end because other dealers put in false sold orders in order to get more sent to their store, only to sell them well above MSRP. I've been waiting for just over 4 months for my order from Kia of Muncie, so anything that Kia corporate can do to expedite my order is a move in the right direction in my opinion.

The Sh** Storm could be gathering speed in the Gulf.... Dealers with bogus orders and customers waiting on those Tellurides could be in for a rude awakening. When it makes landfall, brace yourself! Once again... Pure Speculation!

He was really checking in with me to see if I was still interested in the Telluride (SX). I got the sense he does not really know what may be going on, and was simply relating how difficult it is to get one.

They could just be getting a handle on legitimate orders vs phony sold orders. I'm sure more to come.

I was thinking the same thing. Dealers know what they have coming in through March. So they might be trying to fill older orders/filter out bad orders to switch production to the 2021.
