• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Nightfall badge swap

Here’s the definitive info
View attachment 11260

Would anyone have a picture of the back of a Front badge that still has the clips attached. (Like a new one ordered from dealer)

I am thinking that if we knew which way to bend them, maybe could get them out without breaking... after looking at KML's pictures above, we know where the clips are, just need to know if the supporting/clipping part is towards the outside or inside.

If they are pointed towards the outside, I think slipping a Steel Feeler Gauge tool and pushing the clip in might work (Would need to do both on the same side at the same time? Some of those are very thin...

Just a thought.

We haven't officially changed them over yet but we mocked up the klexus badges and the black badges look good imo. I thought I'd share since I haven't seen any nightfalls this way yet.
Is that the carbon black or the glossy black? Best in your opinion?

I did the glossy black, I think it looks better than the carbon. That said if they come out with a gunmetal like the nightfall badges I'll switch to that.

Sexy!

I’ve thought about changing badges on my Telluride well before I took delivery and have toyed with it during the short time that I’ve been able to have this bad boy in my garage. But for everyone who has changed badges, honest question...is it just the look you like better, embarrassed to drive a Kia because of past quality issues years ago, combination of both, or something I’m missing? Every time I think about swapping to the “Klexus” badges I can’t bring myself to do it. I’ll admit, I really like the look but I hate to even mess with it and if anyone wants to hold their nose up at me because it’s a Kia, kick rocks...this thing honestly is the best overall car we’ve had in a long time and that includes many makes and models, including German luxury brands.

I’m not knocking anyone who swaps the badges, some really do look great. But I almost like the idea now of people constantly staring at my SX as if to ask “what kind of car is that?” Damn skippy, it’s a frigin Kia, nibble on it.
LOL! I'm with you on that. I may just go with the tinted KIA emblems as I want them to know this is a KIA. I have driven this all over and no one seems to know what it is. I tell them it's a KIA, and they respond as if I am lying to them. I had a guy looking so hard on the freeway that he started drifting into my lane!

The badges are pretty inexpensive, I plan on using a gloss clear coat (maybe) or paint them the way I want them.

Can someone explain to me what is Brenton? I get T or KLexus, am I missing it?
It's Brenthon. I'm going to switch mine to this but I can't find any white 2021 that has switched to the matte black one.

the feeler gauge is a good idea. After pulling the tabs back, I inserted playing cards so the tab hooks would not relock. The front emblem was easy. The back one took a little longer. Taping the paint and using fishing line worked really well. Heated the emblem and used a little bit of cooking vegetable oil on the line

Couple questions
1. Preferences T vs Klexis want the blackout look but the T still seems to have the silver.
2. Has anyone done the Brenthon badges that they could post?
3. Some are talking about body guys doing them or asking for the original NF badges??? I thought these were 3M adhesive overlays. How hard are they to remove and replace?

I just posted right before you a pic of the Brenthon badges

He's the answer to the 2021 NF front emblem - I just changed my today. Possibly the same for all 2021 Telluride's. Someone will need to look at a non-NF trim to confirm.

The front emblem for the 2021 NF now only clicks into 4 slots directly onto the grill. There is no more secondary plate to remove. Here's the catch, because you can't get your hand around the backside of the grill, the 4 clips will break off when you pry the original emblem off. However, if you ever want to put the original Kia emblem back on, simply apply 3M double tape.

Even though I slightly damaged the bottom of the emblem holder, that's why I started at the bottom, I think it's worth breaking the clips. My new carbon fiber emblems (front and back) look great.

Below are pics at each step of the front emblem replacement plus a pic of the new rear emblem.

Looks great. Just to be clear. On the front emblem, it is strictly taped to the grill? The KLexus badge does not have tabs on the back. I looked at the emblems for sale, and this is what I see. If yours do have the tabs in the back, can you point me to a link where I could buy the exact same badges? Thanks.

No tabs, just 3M double-sided tape.

I'm sorry but can you help me understand the meaning of this Brenthon emblem?
Quote:
Brenthon is a company that appears to exclusively sell badges and a new name for Kia and Hyundai models.”

Just another option to customize your vehicle. No different than any of the other badges it’s just each person has his/her own preference

Thoughts on this logo? Kinda like it and it looks like the grey will match the Wolf Grey NF. Its an overlay so no harm if not perfect (won't be pulling emblem off).il_794xN.2821365269_djwy.webpHave come to trust the opinions on here (well most...LOL).
