• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Thanks everyone 7,500K will be my first oil change. I had a 2017 Ford Fusion before my Telluride and there oil changes was 5K.

I just had my local dealership tell me the telluride is 5k Miles or 3 months for the oil change. I'm thinking I'll stick to valvoline like once a year. I have 3k miles in 6 months of driving right now.

I would.

Unless they can show on the Kia service manual that's the manufacturer recommended steps on doing an oil change. Just my .02
Just finish speaking to the service manager , they will handle the employee internally. They order a new skid plate and I will get a free oil change ...

Can I assume that this oil change was not at a Kia dealer? Or was it?

It was a Kia dealership..sorry to say , am very upset and disappointed

WOW! That is bad. Often times you pay extra at a dealership figuring you get a better job...BUT..

Anyone had issues with dealership recommendations not matching the owners manual? We got a good deal on a service so took it in at 7k miles and they said we'll be due again in 3k...obviously the owners manual disagrees...how can they get away with that?

Anyone have any issues with the dealer suggesting service intervals that conflict with the owners manual? Got a good deal on a service and dropped mine off at 7k miles. They told me I need to bring it back in 3k for some reason. How can they get away with telling people they have to bring their vehicle in well before the manufacturer standard?

They are going to tell you 3k because that means more of your money in their pockets. Just follow your manual which is 7.5K for the
telluride,

In the first oil change in dealership like 5k miles, what oil they will put in conventional? or can I request full synthetic instead, coz I have 6x free oil change and tire rotation, as their freebies for me, any advice ? Thanks🙂

Most KIA dealerships use a "blend" rather than full synthetic and do not have another "option"......I have 2k on mine and am taking it in after Christmas for an oil change.....I am taking in my own Mobil 1 5-30 and will always do that going forward! My service manger quietly ( behind the scene) recommends that and does that for his own KIA!
