I don’t like the idea that if 1 light goes out you have to toss the whole headlight assembly...not very environmentally friendly, expensive and just a bad design in general...i know every car has dumb parts of the design (my headlights on my legacy)...I hope these lights do last forever and I hope her car runs over 300k miles without many repairs for what it cost...we drive cars into high mileage...I want to get to the point that a repair costs more than the car is worth before I get rid of it so I’m not wasting money on a new one...240k on my old 05 Mazda 6 before I got rid of it only doing wear and tear repairs...have 193k on my 13 Subaru Legacy now with only wear and tear repairs (lot of bulbs and extra oil due to the oil consumption issue)...she needed a new car cause her 14 loaded maxima only made it to 133k before the transmission threw a code...I will want to bury this new car...but wear and tear items should be easy to replace by the consumer and not cost you a lot of money...if lights are covered by warranty that’s great as long as I don’t have to pay for labor or anything should they go out...I don’t even want to ask how hard it is to do the rear turn signal bulbs in the bumper...someone hits your bumper and you’re out a tail light, some sensors and you have to get your bumper repaired, not exactly brilliant vs just putting the signals up near the rear brake lights like everyone else so you have access to swap them out from the trunk easily...in my opinion more electronics in cars = more chances for something to break which usually requires a dealer to fix and I hate going back to a dealer...I like things simple...while this car is really nice, it was not my choice but I do hope it treats us wellWhy are you so convinced that anything will ever need to be done to your headlights? You just bought a brand new car, enjoy it. It's under warranty for 5/60. After that, if you still have it, you can worry about looking up replacement costs for headlights and whatnot. It's an LED assembly, they last forever.
