• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Check all your fluid colors.

First, check your motor oil texture and color (using oil from the dipstick).

If it doesn’t match, move on to your other fluids.

Brake fluid reservoir level. Also, compare the color.

Next, look at the coolant reservoir (where you add the antifreeze) for a color match.

Finally, check the color of your transmission fluid (from the dipstick).

If you have any doubt to the colors, put them all on a rag that is the same color as the one you showed us in the picture and compare.

One of those fluids should match.

Btw, you may also want to clean up your garage floor, and lay a clean old white sheet underneath to catch any new drips, if your testing above is inconclusive.

Thanks...I already compared the engine oil...photo is above...coolant is pink and brake fluid is yellow...transmission is sealed I believe...no idea where to even find the fill point

called the dealer...no loaners...there would be a charge for a tow...may be able to tow it if my wife still has AAA...saying it may be axle grease mixed with water...would not be able to look at it till next week

there is a closer dealer to us but we did not buy it from that dealer

have my wife checking under her car before she leaves work and i have been checking under it while in the garage...no more leaks thus far...not sure if i want to bring it to the dealer and have them start to tear it apart looking for a leak that all evidence was washed away by the storm...i plan to take a really good look when i do the first oil change...it's got a little over 1,700 miles now and the oil change intervals are 8k miles by the maintenance schedule...i'll probably do it around 7,500 miles

I like this plan. You can monitor it. And, when due for the oil change, mention it to the service people, if needed.

As for as oil changes go, I use full synthetic, and for the first 3 changes, opted to do every 5K until I reach 15K (Currently, 9400 miles), then plan to go 7500 thereafter. I also do a tire rotation and have decided to add Techron after each oil change.

Did your dealership offer a complimentary oil change?

no...the dealer is also 25 miles away...i plan to do my own oil changes and tire rotations to save money...i may do the first oil change early just to get any metal flakes out of the engine

so i know no one wants to hear it but xmas is coming and i'm trying to get a head start on ideas...my wife also has a birthday the same month...any accessory ideas for her telluride?...she wears sunglasses all the time so i'm thinking i'll get her one of those clips that go on the visor that you put the sunglasses arms in and close it since her glasses don't fit in the sunglass holder

does anyone have any accessories that they really find useful...i'm not looking to buy anything huge unless i find it to be something she would def use

note to all...do not install your headrest backwards...my wife was hearing a rattle in the car coming from the area of the car seat...so the other night i sat in the rear seat behind the car seat and was trying to figure out where it was coming from...i wondered if it was from the headrest being removed so the car seat would fit...so i grabbed the headrest which was in the under trunk compartment and put it in backwards and got it stuck...i didn't realize the notches were different on each side (since i was doing this in the dark)...took a little persuasion but i was able to get it out...i have a feeling the rattle is from the car seat but i can't figure out where

We added the rear bumper protector. We play a lot of golf and are always sliding our golf clubs in and out of the car. Also, I keep a pair of non-polarized sun glasses in the car as it's a little easier to read the HUD. Not a big deal but just a little easier to read the display.

2021 SXP in Wolf gray with NF. 3200 miles. Paid MSRP after 7-month wait for delivery. Sold 2014 Lexus RX350 on Carvana for $4K over KBB.

First oil change done over 4600 miles...installed the fumoto valve...I’m not sure I like how much this model extends downward...slightly modified the “skid plate” which is more of a splash guard to make room for the dump to valve...cartridge oil filter is stupid...torque wrench only goes to 29N*m instead of 32...ordered a new one and plan to check it when it arrives...also checked the filter housing a little later on and saw some oil on the pour lip after I had wiped it clean...not sure if that is residual or because I didn’t torque it down fully...~6.63qt pennzoil ultra platinum put in...saw no evidence of prior leak but I also didn’t feel like taking the wheel off and opening up the plastic wheel well

And a video how to reset the oil change interval on the 2022 for people who don’t drive the telluride...like me

new torque wrench came in from amazon...dug out my steel ramps and was able to drive up them without hitting the front bumper...used my old 2 ton sears jack as a safety...torqued the oil filter cap down to 35N*m (mistake in previous post #93, not sure why i had 32N*m in my head as it says 35 right on the oil filter cap in the photo)...there was a little dribble at the lip but it didn't look like it dripped onto the top of the plastic mud guard when i took it off

next item is once the the ISG memory is ready that will be getting installed...can't think of anything else i need for this car at the moment...probably a hitch mounted bike rack at some point

ended up ordering this for ISG memory so it doesn't have to be turned off each time you get in the car...came in the other day...plan to install over the weekend...i like it cause it's plug and play and can be easily reversed if needed...

Congrats! Keep us updated if you run into any issues. Seems like a nice product and very simple to install.

@Point37 Is the install as easy as the video makes it look?

yes...in the video it looks like they used a roll of tape to hold up the trim...i skipped that step...i also did it without a flashlight for the extra challenge lol...i didn't even trim the zip tie, just pushed the tail down through the hole...wife is happy it works
