  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order placed today!

Reading the first page of this thread I can honestly say I'm glad I'm single and can buy what I want and not have to listen to someone else lol.

But in all seriousness, congrats on the original posters telly. I to stay in Texas, I love black so that all black would be nice. But I always get black and dark color cars so got wolf grey this time. Don't have mine yet, ordered from Colorado 5 weeks ago but everytime I see it on the street (which is not often at least with that color which is a good thing) I drool as it looks amazing.

A VIN popped up yesterday in Failcat that matches my order exactly….fingers crossed it’s mine!

Just placed an order today for a Dark Moss/Dune SXP through Huffines Kia Corinth at MSRP. Quoted 3-5 months with a possibility of it being as early as 2 months (though no guarantees on that). Was told to expect an ETA in 8-12 weeks. For reference, they get 25-35 Tellys a month.

Initially wanted Moss/Dune but talked myself out of it (with the help of the wife) thinking I may eventually get tired of the color and that white will be easier to sell down the line, so I (we) decided on GWP/Black. Found out the black interior has a light headliner, so the next day changed it to GWP/Dune. Thanks to great photos here on the forums I couldn’t get Moss out of my mind. Day after changed to Dark Moss/Dune and ain’t lookin’ back! Definitely gives the Telluride a very upscale, rugged look.

Had a chance to buy a ‘21 Palisade Calligraphy AWD today at MSRP but the dealer offered $3k below Blue & Black Book for my trade and wouldn’t budge so I passed. Hope the Kia dealership doesn’t do the same when my Telly arrives…
In my opinion, each step of the transaction, the dealer expects to make a profit. Want a car, OK, thats X. Want to trade in? Want dealer financing? So many ways for dealers to make a profit on financing, all they have to do is sneak in another 0.25% to the interest rate, and they are making money.

I'm 65, I have never traded in a car. Since you. have such a modern trade in, I'd. be contacting Cavana and all the other players and get a bid in hand.

Somewhat differently, my parents and siblings have ALWAYS traded in cars....

That’s the darn truth! Dealerships have many ways to make money that most buyers aren’t aware of or won’t notice.

In the last 10 years I’ve personally purchased 11 new cars and almost always had a trade-in. The benefit to trading a vehicle in rather than selling elsewhere here in Texas is the sales tax savings on the vehicle being purchased. In today’s market, trade in values are such that selling elsewhere isn’t always worth the effort.

I always shop around for the best financing prior to stepping foot in the dealership, and also shop around for offers on any vehicle I plan to trade or sell. Carvana recently offered $36,600 for my Pilot (I owe about $25k).

My order at Huffines Corinth hasn’t been picked up by KFOS yet. A few weeks ago I was told I was #32 in line there.

No updates as of yet, however Carvana is now offering over $39k for my Pilot!

Just got word that my order through Huffines Kia Corinth got picked up by KFOS and Dec 5 is my ETA!

Waiting sucks.

Carvana offer for my Pilot is now over $40k though! I paid $37k for it 5 months and 6k miles ago...

Nice, I just ordered from them last month. We'll see how long it takes to get here.
My initial order was in July, but I wound up changing it twice (the last of which was mid August). My salesperson, Michael Wheeler, said that the changes would delay my order but didn’t give specifics. For an SX AWD I’d expect a 3-4 month wait in total.

My salesperson, Art, told me they're averaging 3 months plus or minus. If I'm REALLLLLLLLLLY lucky, then before the end of the year, otherwise hopefully January.

Carvana offer on my Pilot is now $42,003! That's more than new MSRP, and $4500 more than I paid for it in June...

Still patiently awaiting my VIN. ETA is 29 days away, so I suppose I can expect to have the VIN anytime in the next two weeks (assuming initial ETA holds true).

Hello, I’m new here and located in DFW on the FW side. I test drive a Telluride today after window shopping and love it. I’m dead set on ordering one though to get the color and options I want.

I see everyone has mentioned several local dealerships to DFW and surrounding areas. Which dealerships would you recommend that don’t mark up from MSRP and work with you when ordering?

Huffines - Corinth

Very easy, straight forward, answered all questions, no surprises. That is my nutshell answer.
And, Welcome!!

Huffines Kia Corinth would be my recommendation - MSRP, no dealer adds, $500 refundable deposit. likely a 3-4 month wait for an SX AWD.

Thanks! Excited to be here and an owner in 3-6 months, lol!

What color/trim/options are you looking for? I actually have two Telluride orders and will only be purchasing one of them, which means the other will be up for grabs.

Nice! Must haves are AWD and captains/bucket seats for the 2nd row. This will be my wife’s primary vehicle so she will make the final decision on color.
