Looks like I have a long wait ahead of me - similar order but made 1 month after you.

Maybe my dealer will have an update for me soon as well. Another poster who ordered after me replied they also got an update so it would seem something should be coming my way...

There really isn't one. I drove an Expedition, a Yukon Denali, etc.. Looked at a GLS, X7, etc.. Size of what you get for the $ is crazy here on the Telluride. It's definitely going to shift the market on the mid and even large size SUVs. Others need to step up their game (looking at you General Motors). The std. Yukon Denali was a joke in the 3rd row... unusable for our family of 5. Only the XL would fit us. Expedition was decent size wise inside, but I'm at $75-80k+ to get what I want and the infotainment was pitiful considering all the rave reviews in the last year or so in the magazines/online.

I think that's what they're going to have to do and put orders with deposits ahead, otherwise risk alienating customers that won't come back. Dealers are still making $ either way....just maybe not the huge ADM they can charge when 5-10 people are fighting over the same vehicle that is coming in on X date.

Infotainment is almost dead. Tablets or phones are pretty norm now.

Orders are a big priority and they are working as fast as they can on those. MotorTrend SUV Of The Year has complicated even further. People crawling out from underneath rocks saying.... I think I'll go buy one today. Then realizing they can't.

Yes those people are messing me up! I have owned Kia for 7 years now. Finally people are finding out it is a great car at a great price laughing at all the car snob who now will actually buy a Kia,🤣🤣🤣
 
Just looked up the Durango lease price not bad and I really like its look my daughter has one. I guess I have an option to lease something till Kia gets it together. I could take the shortest time on a lease just to get me through and by then if they don’t jack their price up I can maybe even get a bargain. Don t worry Jason I will still order from you ! Theses dealers around here have lost my business forever! I’ll give it another couple months but not waiting past January. I am pay for a car now that does not meet my needs and a lease on a another would be a few dollars more. At least I feel I have an option at this point.

By Infotainment, I meant the center screen (see how the term I used could get confusing). The touch screen on the Expedition was not like the Telluride at all. Had to push not swipe like a phone. The swiping/feeling was more like a phone on the Telluride and much more modern feeling. For all the praise on technology I had seen around the Expedition and Navigator since 2018, when I went to the Kia dealer right after the Ford dealer it was like going from a stone age to new age type of feeling. I think Kia is going to cause a lot of manufacturers to up their game.

The one negative on the Kia was lack of option for TV's. Yeah I sat there explaining to my wife over and over about how the world is now in tablets, and they have USB in the seats now, get tablet holders, etc. They could at least option headrest TV's at some ridiculous price and make her happy. Her reasons are 1) Tablets are one more reason for someone to break in the car, whether they are cheapy Amazon tablets or whatever...someone may still do a smash and grab (I can see this being an issue in some areas, hopefully not mine), and 2) Easy to just throw in a disc for my youngest who can be a pain and 3) 1 more service I need to pay for monthly (tack on $10-25/month for unlimited wifi because downloading crap at home is not always going to be easy). I'm not the only one since I see a bunch of people complaining about that and having to talk their wife into that like I did. But I see the way of the future for sure, just some need nudging.

OK. Now I get it. The Telluride has a great screen. It's laid out pretty well. Man... Toyota so far behind its not funny. We've had Apple Car Play/Android for like 3 years. They are just now really implementing. Ford keeps switching. One minute Microsoft and then something else. From a mom perspective on the TV's I get it. It's much more simple but price was starting to be a factor as well. We offer in our Sedona SX but to me you are too close to the screen. Maybe different for a kid but felt claustrophobic to me.

my first Kia was a 2004 Spectra, been with Kia for quite a while and kind of liked that not everyone knew that they were no longer the bad brand they once were. They upped their gme a long time ago, but now they are getting national recognition for it and people are finally listening.

I had a decently popular YouTuber tell me Kias were basically garbage before the Telluride. I had left a comment under his video explaining that Kia had been making solid cars for a while and he dismissed the notion.
