Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner. -

Makes me hope that I will see mine this week. Initially the 14th, now the 12th, but dealer said that they had just gotten two in on Friday that were scheduled for March 6th. Crossing my fingers. Happy to hear that your baby is finally here.

Weird, makes me wonder if Kia has figured out we're all stalking VIN numbers, and are delaying entering them into the system. I can't believe they can make a vehicle from start to finish in 6 days?
I ordered Jan 2nd, and my dealer just emailed me Saturday and said Good News, expecting delivery March 14th! But, I still don't have a VIN number yet. I have no reason to not believe him......

Dealer called at 6:30pm and said we could come trade cars this evening and then finalize all the paperwork tomorrow. So we've been driving around for a couple hours in the new ride. It's very nice. Worth the wait for sure. It may take 6 months to figure out all the settings though.

Love to know what dealer you used. I ordered our SXP December 20, 2019 and dealer told me today to expect it early June!

They do - picked mine up Saturday after a 5 month wait.

Well, I ordered an EX, which I'm told has much shorter wait times than the SXP, so I'm guessing it has more to do with that..

I read another post where somebody said they are built within a week. Not sure how reliable it is, but I think it makes sense. Then there is the post-build testing, and finally transportation to the dealer--which will take up the rest of the time.

Thanks to @patentguy , I was able to get the lead on an unsold incoming SWP over Dune SXP with Tow. After some back and forth, Monroeville Kia agreed to sell me the car at MSRP based strictly on the referral so I owe this guy a 
or two! The manager said he's only allocated another 2 SXs for the foreseeable future so he wanted to cash in but luckily, came to his senses 
.
I left work at noon, drove 4.5 hours in a Mustang rental, signed, and drove back the same night. Just my luck, that it poured rained the entire night drive home and the Telly handled it better than I did. But anyway, that's another story for another day. Bottom line, I got the car I ordered back in September from Muncie. Paid a little more but, it is what it is.
PS- Lucas from Muncie was super cool and issued a refund the same day we spoke. Hope to get my next car from them when the wife's is ready to be replaced. I'm still #teamMuncie at heart

I just e-mailed my dealer yesterday - said they would get back to me after the manager got out of his meeting.... guess he's still in his meeting, lol
