In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

Nov 25th here...WOW, WOW, WOW !!!
It seems like we may need to cancel and reorder with a larger dealerships to be able to get in on this new kick where “New” orders are being fulfilled before old ones. Based on what everyone is saying that may be the way to get what we want in a timely fashion. I just don’t understand their logic, how can a computer system select new orders and bypass old orders that’ve been in queue for months. Who leaves money on the table for a bird in the hand. My husband has been in the auto industry for 35 years and said he’s never seen or heard anything like this. He told me to go somewhere else or look at other cars. :(

Use the VIN tools on this forum to find one that meets your specs - that is what @Stacyg, @SorentoSXL, and I did. While we didn't get the Costco Discount from Muncie, we did get ours at MSRP.

I’m going to do just that. Thanks for your help.

Where are you located? You probably have said before but I can't remember!

I've invested 14 weeks in Muncie's success and I like the way they do business...I'll wait it out unless I hear from Jason & Lucas that it's not a good idea :)

We appreciate it. Keep in mind the Mother Ship could increase, make more of what's hot, switch to 21s, we just have no idea like everyone else. We are at the mercy of the KIA God's!

I'm telling you Jason, come on down and I'll go with you to plead the case for the clients...5 hours lead time to allow for Atlanta traffic :)

I talked to Lucas today from Muncie who has my order and I feel a lot better about it. 15th on the list. The guys do a great job at what they do, I’m going to hold out and see where the rabbit whole goes and just relax. Might end up with a 2021 with even more in it lol..

This is the land of cold beer and sweet tea, neither of which I drink...but I may start drinking if KIA doesn't get there act together :)

Newark, Delaware

Too funny, you're right near me (outside of Philly) and we were in Newark this weekend (Deerfield country club for an event). I've had a few dealers in our area say they're willing to place orders for MSRP but not sell existing/incoming stock at MSRP. If you don't need the car ASAP, Muncie seems awesome. I wanted to wait, but got pressured into not waiting by my "Boss!"

Yeah I’m going to wait, no one will offer me what I got from Muncie. At best I may skate through with only MSRP but it’s unlikely. It makes no sense for a cars to sit on the lot with hopes of someone paying more for it than it’s worth. Everyday that goes by the Dealership is paying for that car. In the end it will still be sold for less than there asking price.

It's because the smaller dealers don't have the allocations for the cars you want, and probably have 15-20 orders in line of an SXP for example. The larger/higher volume dealers are still getting inventory cars since they have allocations for them whereas others are sitting there forever waiting on orders that may never get filled this year. It's asinine to say the least.

I came to that realization that I was looking at late May/June at the earliest (Nov 20th order)...probably worse quite honestly, and the other realization that the deal I had w/ Costco pricing on my order was also going to be flipped the other way as an increase since Kia raised the prices ($675 on an SXP) and has been trimming the incentives. So with my wife setting a deadline, either had to bail and find a different make/model all together... or bail my dealer and find my Telluride using the tools. I got lucky and found mine 3 hours away and the sticker had the old pricing.

My honest feedback to anyone that is waiting forever with no updates and it hasn't been put into KFOS yet (i.e. it will be at least 3-4 more months at the earliest).... use the tools available and move on with life. It is not ideal to those dealers you had orders with since they invested time/money in you, but at the same time you have to do you.

If I were further down the list with Muncie, I'd probably use the search tools, but where I sit right now it ain't no biggie. Happy waiting for as long as it takes to order from them. Plus I get to save up some more cash to put down.
