Order to delivery time

Does this mean you would reject delivery and order a new one (2022) from scratch?
I’m in a similar boat since I learned today that mine was ‘just picked up’ by Kia.

Don't rush to judgment.....I tried to modify my order and was informed it had already been sent in and couldn't me changed. Weeks later I asked if it had been entered into KFOS and I was told he didn't know but now I might be getting a 2022 since it might not have "really" been picked up. Might need clarification on "just picked up" and if that means KFOS.

We ordered from I-25 Kia in Longmont. SX Prestige w/ tow package, Dark Moss with dune brown interior. Ordered 2/24. ETA of 4/20 received on 3/1 and pushed to 4/25 on March 29th. VIN received 4/12. Very Excited! So far I have had a good experience with sales rep, Dominic.

Delivery confirmed! 4/20
Will pick up as soon as we return for a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. The end of April has been excellent!

So my salesman says the order was “picked up” by KIA but “No VIN number yet, end of June delivery.”
Does this mean it hasn’t been entered into the system? Does this mean a 2021 model year because the order has already been “picked up”, even though there is no VIN?

Does anyone know how this works?

I am also waiting for a Telluride order from a St Louis dealer. I just heard today it has been picked up with an expected early June delivery.

That was extremely fast. Your dealer must not have had anyone in the list and your order got picked right up. Most folks wait at least until the ordering system opens up on the subsequent month... and even then it’s usually several months.

Well we are getting an SX also from Lou Fusz so maybe they are starting to make SX again. We didn't get the prestige package with it.

Yeah it seems strange that the SX models have been stalled for so long... just trickling out for the past two weeks or so.
I wonder if they’re retooling for the 2022 models? Maybe for a digital dash on SX models??

Wow that is really fast. I'm still waiting on a VIN 2.5 months after order from a pretty good sized dealer. ETA is 3.5 weeks away.

My dealer gets about 12 Tellurides per month it looks like. Since no SX's are going through right now, it probably helped push my EX to the front.

Just placed an order at i25 Kia with Dominic. Process was really simple and they were incredibly helpful. I am getting it shipped from Colorado to NorCal. He said it could possibly come by end of June.

Rumor has it there are supply chain issues with the infotainment system on the SX model which probably explains why no VIN's have been created in the last two weeks. My assumption is that this model is being re-worked and all future VIN's will be 2022's.

Yeah I'm fairly certain I'm getting a 2022. Not sure if I believe it but my sales rep told me they will honor the 2021 pricing.

I believe the plan was to pump out 2021's until "x" time period but with the recent supply chain issues, this will more than likely force them to cut over earlier than expected. My assumption is that subtle changes will be made such as the infotainment system, digital cluster, logo/emblem, etc.
