Order to delivery time

Hi, You can add me to the list of frustrated Telluride fans waiting on the car they ordered. I placed my order for an SX, AWD with no tow in Moss Green with the prestige package in Dune on April 5. I have been erroneously told at the beginning of May it was "due in soon" and that it was "port allocated" at the end of June. Went to my dealer today and they could not tell me a thing. No VIN, no port allocation, just that it was "in process". I am very tired of hearing about Nappa leather. I guess the Nappa is now an endangered specie.

Has anyone been able to find a way to learn more about your order besides depending on the dealer? Contact Kia direct somehow?
What does port allocated mean when it is coming from Georgia.

I ordered a moss green sx prestige with Dune interior and tow package on March 3rd. According to the dealer the order has not been accepted yet. Does anyone know if this is a production issue or a dealer issue?
After trying to buy an inventory car, or order from SoCal dealers for a couple months, I gave up, and ended up working with an out of state dealer to get an order in before the Founders Club expiration on 4/30. I was told that I could get an order in to secure the Founders Club first payment rebate if done so by 4/30.

We got our order in and submitted at 5:30PM on 4/30 with a $500 deposit. I was given a rough estimate of receiving the car by 6/30, though it was advised it could change... on 6/7, I got a text that the order had been filled and allocated, with an expected arrival date of July 18th (could be a few days earlier). On 6/18 we had a VIN# and window sticker via text. On 7/11, the car had arrived at the dealership (pictures attached).

After reviewing and negotiating financing/incentives, I received documents via FedEx today, 7/16 for me to sign the contract and send back overnight. They're preparing the vehicle to be transported to me from Colorado to SoCal. I paid MSRP, + $450 in transport fees. We agreed at time of order that they'd cover the first 500 miles, and I paid for the remaining miles at a cost to me of $450. The sale included accessories that totaled about $300 as a gift for pre-ordering. I got the $1500 KMF rebate, and 1.9% for 48 months, and the $1000 Competitive credit. We will see if I can still get the $750 Founders Credit as promised. That comes from KMA direct from my understanding.

I was really unsure as to whether or not this would work out in the end, but it is seemingly moving in the right direction. Once I have the car in my garage, and get the Founders Club credit it will be time to celebrate! I've been eyeing this and the Palasade since the LA auto show in November 2018, and find the value proposition intriguing... Peak Kia North in Windsor, Dane McClenathan has been outstanding from the get go, and highly recommend him and their dealership.

2020 Telluride, SX/P AWD, Moss, with Dune and factory Tow Pkg with self-leveling rear suspension. So these have been built recently, and it appears to be in your situation a dealer issue, or them lacking an allocation. Based on my experience from my chosen dealer, information is available to the dealers, and in turn you the customer. You just need the right dealer, GM and ask for the information. After my experience with our local dealers, the hard part is finding someone as competent as Dane. https://www.kia.com/us/en/data/dealerinventory/windowsticker/5XYP5DHC4LG029179

I ordered a Gravity Gray EX with black leather interior on 5/10. Been almost 10 weeks and my dealer has given me no information. They keep saying there have been no updates. I’m beginning to think they never placed my order. Has anyone else ordered an EX? How long did it take? So frustrated

I ordered the exact same thing MOSS SX Butterscotch except without tow in mid may and still no acceptance for me.... oh well, the wait continues.
thats a bummer. The most frustrating thing about all of this is the varying wait times and that the poor dealers dont really know anything themselves either.

I have been told that "High Volume" dealers are getting their orders allocated to them faster than others. That is appearing to be true so far for us. But im sure it also depends on what the manufacturer is making too. Hopefully you can get an update soon!

I asked the same question. They told me at the time that it meant it was built and on its way which turned out to be not true. I have been told so many stories I don't know what to think any more.

Oh yes - I added the illuminated scuff plate (which was totally worth it) - as for the mood lighting I don't see that it lights up anything different - yes it has a light on the floor board - and maybe I am wrong but I think that is already part of the mood lighting built in - only thing I can see different is that I can mix custom colors. I wish someone would correct me but I don't think it is much of an add-on.
The mood lighting lights the floorboard where without mood lighting yu get the colors but no floorboard lights

Ordered on June 23; notified by dealer the Filled Date (accepted date I assume) was June 30; dealer contacted me last week with new eta of August 7.

Can I ask where you are located? I am in Wisconsin.

My experience with contacting Kia directly has been that they take about a week to "investigate", which consists of Kia calling your dealer and asking about your order, and telling you the same thing your dealer tells you.

It looks like most of the orders on here have been for the SX. Has anyone ordered the S level trim? If so, has the turnaround time been any quicker than the SX? Thanks.

My order for SX Prestige in Snow White Pearl and Gray interior was placed April 18th. Dealer has showed a picture of this. I was told my order has been filled June 7th. I was recently told that I would need to provide my current registration to be grandfathered into the conquest cash 1000 bonus which dropped off in July. I was then told last week that ETA is August 21st but I don't know if I'm buying it as the manager seems kinda shady.
We will see.....

Thanks Lsaurus.
I guess I just have to sit and wait. It is just frustrating that with all of the production planning tools at their disposal Kia can't tell you anything. This is a sophisticated company for goodness sakes. The only thing I can think of is that they do know but think keeping everyone in the dark serves some purpose for them. It just makes people like myself think that they are being played with and it is not right. The Telluride will be my 4th Kia in a row but probably my last.

I did not order an EX but an SXP. We ordered it on May 10 like you. Each time I email the dealer, I get no new information. Just that they are waiting. I saw them make the order and got the paperwork but I don't know if the order was accepted. I thought this dealer was the highest volume in the area but I haven't seen them even get a Telluride on their website in over a month. I'm hoping we get it by October . . .

I ordered the same exact vehicle on May 2, so I really hope it comes in soon!

Possibly the lighting, but that’s the nicest Moss SX that I’ve seen yet.

I placed my order for a pearl white SX on May 24th. I was told that it would take approximately 30 days for the vehicle to show up on the lot. I called my sales rep on the 20th of June and I was told to now expect it on the 15th of July. By that point I was running out of patients. I contacted my rep on the 10th of July and I was told it should be any day now and that he would get back to me shortly. Crickets for the next 5 days, so I decided to pay the manager a visit where he informed me it would be August 15th. This is my first Kia purchase and unless the dealership can find a way to impress me when this unicorn actually shows up, it will be my last!

It’s not Kia that’s the issue and more of a supply/demand issue. We’re all going through it together. Can’t you feel the love?
