Order to delivery time

Congratulations!
Quick question for you. You mentioned that it took seven weeks. Was that for your order to arrive? Or did a vehicle similar to what you ordered show up and you purchased that instead? The reason why I'm asking is seven weeks seems really quick for an order.

My original order was a Gravity grey SXP, and I added on wheel locks and illuminated scuff plates. When I ordered I asked the guy twice if the wheel locks and illuminated scuff plates where on the order and he assured me it was. I ordered on August 29th and was told 2-3 months. When I had my kia van serviced last week I was told it would be in by November 9th but they never provided a Vin number. I recieved a call on the 23rd stating that my vehicle was in. When I arrived to the dealership and did a walk around and checked the interior, I found that there were no illuminated scuff plates nor wheel locks. So I'm not sure if they just didn't add it or I got lucky that a similar one came through first. Either way I was a little disappointed but overall happy with it. I decided to take it with the thought that I could add those on later. Hope this answers your question.

Sometimes it could be installed by dealer. Those two easily could.

These pics are making me impatient for mine to come...

still trying to figure out how similar this paint is to the “Black Ember” paint of my current Volvo S60. My Volvo paint turns brown with purple flakes in the sun. This pic looks like brown with copper flakes - the flake size also looks larger.

Well I had hopes that my Telluride would be here in the next month but my dealer said it looked like it will be there around the first week of January.
I ordered on August 7th and the order was accepted on Aug 10th.It would not be a big deal if me and my family did not need a big,decent family car right now.
I was forced to get rid of our Durango after transmission went out at 93,000 miles.We knew we would have to get a new good car with a great warranty that fits our needs
and that's how we came across Telluride which checked all the boxes that we wanted in a SUV,plus looking very sharp too.It sucks that we have to be stuck in a Dodge Dart(2 adults and 2 kids) around and after Holidays and it is super small for a family but as much as we need a bigger family vehicle,we have decided to wait until the Telluride comes in.Just hope the dealer does not play any games and force us out of the deal.If that happens,we would have to go with Toyota Highlander,Chevy Tahoe,Ford Explorer,VW Atlas and other SUVs out there but we would not be as happy as we would with the Telluride.

Get something in writing! Too many dealers marking cars up after the fact. I'd hate to see you wait that long and then bam!.... A $5k market adjustment.

I forgot to mention that this local dealer where we ordered from,has been selling Tellurides at MRSP and no market adjustments so far.
Not sure if they will when ours comes in but I totally agree and I will have to get something in writing.Thanks for the reply Jason.

These transport claims usually take some time to be approved, paid, and work completed. I'm only saying this based off our experiences. It's a waiting game.

Called dealer today. They still do not have a time frame for me. However they said they will give me the $2500 in rebates that were in effect when I ordered in May even though the conquest is gone and the finance is $1000 not $1500 when I ordered. They said they will honor it even if the finance drops off and are still figuring out what extra they can do. Like yourself there are still a few good dealers left out there.
