Order to delivery time

Finally heard back from my dealership and they gave me the customer ID# that I’d been asking for. And it does reflect the date that I ordered (10/31). That makes me feel better. Now the waiting game continues!

Literally.....just rolled off the truck as I was driving by the dealership!!!! ....my Black Copper SX P!!!! Obviously I immediately pulled in and started a "walk around" All the original factory stickers, etc still in place......even got to snag the factory "checkout receipt" which every Kia goes through!! They will get her cleaned up today and then wife and I hit the dealership at 11am tomorrow to do the paperwork and drive away! The manufacture date on the vehicle is 11/12/2019 , the factory inspection was done on 11/14/2019 at 8:37 am! Delivery to hear in central Pa. was today. The VIN was created on 11/11/2019 ........so that's the timeline as i see it.

Just spoke to some moron named Jacob at Kia USA I called to see if they would tell me something I could relay to my dealer in order to get him to produce a request ID. He said there’s no such thing as a request ID. Kid spoke in circles. Really uninformed and disinterested. He said I’ll eventually get a car, which was really reassuring.

Just found out that the only document that I did receive which was a pink carbon sheet which outlined the vehicle I wanted and the $500 deposit I gave the dealership got tossed out with the Telluride brochure my neurotic wife threw out when cleaning the house. We have about a foot high pile of Restoration Hardware catalogues and she tosses out the Telluride brochure with my mountain bike magazines.

Update on order to delivery time. Ordered sxp gravity grey with beige interior on 9/6. Took it home on 11/13. So far we love everything about it. I don’t know how we got it so quick, but I’ll certainly take it. We were told when we ordered it to expect 3-6 months.

We're at 3 months for an S AWD and told that were about in the middle of the process...

When did you order?

I stopped in the dealership on Oct. 21......they said they had the vehicle "on allocation" and they were looking at delivery 1st or 2nd week of Dec. I put $500 deposit on it and it arrived today. So I don't know when the dealership placed their order.

3 months for S Telluride and still waiting.......WOW

The increasing wait times will cause many buyers to pass on the Telluride. I “want” a new car and I “need” a new car will force the buying decisions of many who simply can not wait for the seemingly growing wait for a Telluride.

Keep posting those order till delivery stories Telluride fans.

I ordered mine in June from Ed Voyles Kia in Marietta. They keep saying that we are on the VIP list and when they ask they will submit it and let us know. We dealt with 3 different sales people that all quit. Now the manager is our contact but by the looks of it, I say we need to reach out to another Kia dealer. Not sure if we can cancel and go with another one or not. My question is, all these guaranteed sales but production for the SX was put on hold. I don't get it.

I just put in an order with Ed Voyles Kia Marietta. Did you end up sticking it out with Ed Voyles? Did they provide you a request id for you order?

My experience is that if you get someone like this on the phone at a 800 call center, just hang up and call back and speak to someone else. Chances are that you ask the same exact questions and you will get different answers.

@scarder Ask to get a callback from the 'team in sales'. There are four of them and they are familiar with the process to do so (vs the frontline call center folks who are not). They even called and dealt with my dealer until they got a correct orderID and then verified (from the Kia end) that my name was in fact on the sold order. Sadly, just because it's on there now doesn't mean it can't be cancelled by the dealer at any time - kia's process for this is just messed up.

Just at my dealer I purchased from. Needed some help. Cocoa Kia , Florida. I have no affiliation with them at all.

Noticed they have 6 tellurides not sold sitting there. Did not check them all out but showroom had a dark red ex and out front was a white SX p with butterscotch.

Just found out that another local dealership is getting another SX (likely this week) that has everything I want other than the prestige portion. Same moss green, but with black interior which is ok. Debating on just scooping that up and not waiting on the order anymore for the prestige....
