After I replied back to him with a similar message on the nightfalls taking priority, he replied, "From my observations here it appears that they built a bunch of these Nightfalls before they were getting to the other trims and equipment. I agree with you 100%."No - the production numbers clearly show it isn't a parts or staffing issue. When dealerships make statements like that - they either don't know or think buyers are stupid. Production is higher than it has ever been. The plant is running like a top these days. Also - the excuse that they can't get them delivered quick enough doesn't add up either. I can see how they are having difficulty getting this higher production rate out to dealers - but that isn't the entire reason many of us are still waiting longer than we should. The primary reason (as the data now shows) that delivery rates on old orders isn't happening is because KIA is prioritizing Nightfall Edition and S trim (I can only assume to fill dealer inventory) over existing sold orders.
When did you go into KFOS?I had been waiting on getting an update on my ETA based on the news from everyone else who ordered the same color/model/options as me that continued to slip. I finally asked for an update today and my new ETA has now slipped to 11/9. With our luck, they'll start cranking out GWP and Wolf Gray models next like they have been with the nightfall packages taking priority over our old orders.
I'm actually thinking now that we may have a COVID vaccine before these come in.After I replied back to him with a similar message on the nightfalls taking priority, he replied, "From my observations here it appears that they built a bunch of these Nightfalls before they were getting to the other trims and equipment. I got into KFOS in July between 7/15 and 7/21 when I received my first ETA.When did you go into KFOS?

The increase on the S Trim production is unbelievable. It's dropping off in August, so wonder if we'll see that trend continue allowing an increase in Production of other Trims. No - the production numbers clearly show it isn't a parts or staffing issue. If only there was a way to get into KFOS soonerThese ETAs are starting to get a little weird...
They are either doubling down on producing more NE...or they are trying to crank out the rest of the supply on it...
Either way congrats to those buying NE's...you should have them WAY before some of us do...
Most of us with jumping ETAs are already in KFOS.If only there was a way to get into KFOS sooner![]()
Yes. I’m not quite there yetMost of us with jumping ETAs are already in KFOS.
I hope you get in as soon as possible then!!Yes. I’m not quite there yet
Did you order from hilltop?Yes. I’m not quite there yet
Everything is all about Nightfall. I understand their marketing strategy but the production should not take priority over orders that were submitted long ago. That's just horrible management.Doesn't help that they are advertising the NightFall Edition during TWC's Hurricane Laura coverage...
IMO the Telluride is a beautiful vehicle without Nightfall and Kia decided they needed a model to look like competitors blacked out vehicles. The supply chains for parts are complex and set up months ahead of when the parts are used on the assembly line. At this point I think they are building what they have parts to build. Why did Kia plan so heavily for Nightfall when they had months of backlog for the standard SX model? Only Kia can answer that and I doubt we will ever know the answer. I expect most of us will not hold it against them if we are happy with the vehicle we receive after the long wait.Everything is all about Nightfall. I agree that Supply Chain MAY be playing a part in the current NE vs Non-NE production levels. I also feel that Kia is trying to get vehicles on dealer lots.IMO the Telluride is a beautiful vehicle without Nightfall and Kia decided they needed a model to look like competitors blacked out vehicles.
