• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Plastidip is too cheap, I think. Our 4runner had a cover for the letters and logos matte black that never budged or faded. Super nice and only 80 bucks for whole car.

I took these these the other night, will post better ones when I get a secondView attachment 2079View attachment 2080

So how did you go about doing the Plasti-Dipping? Professionally done or you did it? I've never attempted but Im guessing all the lettering had to be removed and then re-3M taped back on? Seems like it would be difficult to get it back on in the perfect position?

The plastidip is a really user friendly product. You don’t need to remove the lettering, and only need to tape off a square around it. The overspray peels right off after it dries. Couldn’t be easier and looks great. I get so many compliments on my lettering and wheels. People think it came from the factory that way and I am in no way a pro

Yea I'm not sure what other options there are to black out the lettering other than plasti-dip... maybe others on here know? Ive seen the White Explorer Sports that have the EXPLORER word in black across the front and it looks awesome against that white background. Combined with your badges... Would be awesome. Do we have any photoshop pros in here that can black out the word TELLURIDE in the pictures that @ernysan posted earlier in this thread?

Here are plastidipped letters and black carbon fiber badges. A068C20B-82EC-4252-97E3-892AA3A5EC99.jpeg6D898B78-D9B9-4E32-B1A6-5DE2351DE285.jpeg6412ECED-EE04-444F-B80B-502E09E7FA4C.jpeg

Plastidip looks good and lasts long if you do multiple coats and finish it off by using their clear spray.

I did 6 or 7 coats of Pastidip with no clear finish. Looks as good as my neighbor’s plastic stick-on pieces he put on his 4-runner’s letters and logo.
