If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Any Telluride SX owners with Prestige package or SX owners wish they got Prestige package now? Is Heads up display useful? I have never used HUD and I thought it was a must have but not sure I really need it.

SX Prestige Package $2,000.00
- Head Up Display & 110V Inverter
- Nappa Leather Seat Trim
- Premium Cloth Headliner & Sun Visors
- Heated & Ventilated 2nd Row Seats
- Rain-sensing Front Windshield Wipers

SX Prestige Package $2,000.00

- Nappa Leather Seat Trim
- Premium Cloth Headliner & Sun Visors
- Heated & Ventilated 2nd Row Seats
- Rain-sensing Front Windshield Wipers
HUD is one of those features you can't live without once you've had it. It helps keep your eyes on the road when viewing nav and checking your speed limit. Rain sensing wipers are also a big help if you're in a climate that rains alot. Especially when the rain stops and starts alot. Cooled seats are really nice in the summer. If you live in the north maybe they won't mean as much. They're a big help all year round in the south.

I opted to not get it. I just didn't think the money was worth it and I wouldn't miss the features. Not trying to discredit it. I thought about getting the package a lot while waiting for order.

- Head Up Display & 110V Inverter - I find the HUD a bit distracting in cars I have driven in with one. Inverter... meh
- Nappa Leather Seat Trim - Just leather seats to me. The stitching is neat but I also like the normal leather pattern.
- Premium Cloth Headliner & Sun Visors - Just a headliner? Don't htink I have ever noticed or not noticed one before.
- Heated & Ventilated 2nd Row Seats - Back seat is car seats for the foreseeable future.
- Rain-sensing Front Windshield Wipers - Would have been nice to have, but honestly the two cars I have with them are only 'okay' and I still have to do manual wipes pretty often or wish they came on more.

I ordered a moss SX without prestige package. If 2k doesn't mean a whole lot to you, go for it. I decided not to mainly because I was debating between EX and SX and went with the SX. Didn't want to spend the extra 2K. I may spend the extra money on an extended warranty for the electronics. I won't regret it. I mean, the wife won't regret it... kinda jealous she will be driving it mostly..

I considered the package but opted to save the $2k. Plus at the time I was really only seeing it on AWD models, which is another $2k. I don’t need AWD at all. Total would have been $4k.

SX Prestige Package $2,000.00
- Head Up Display & 110V Inverter -- HUD is worth it for me. I've had HUDs in other vehicles and love being able to see speed and other info without looking at the speedometer. The downside to the HUD is that polarized sunglasses obscure the image. The inverter is nice to have but I doubt I'll ever use it.
- Nappa Leather Seat Trim -- The seats are very nice and really look very premium. Most other brands charge >$2000 if you want to upgrade the seats. Plus you get 2nd row heated and cooled captains chairs as well. Increases the premium feel of the vehicle.
- Premium Cloth Headliner & Sun Visors -- It does look nice, but probably not necessary IMHO
- Heated & Ventilated 2nd Row Seats -- Very nice for anyone not in a car seat!
- Rain-sensing Front Windshield Wipers -- I've haven't had much luck in rain sensing wiper implementations. Haven't had a chance to try them out in the Telluride.

As already mentioned SX Prestige is really $4K as it requires AWD. Kia should have not made this dependent on AWD. So far, I love mine.

I wouldn't go without it now after having all that on the Stinger. The HUD is now a must have. It is incredible ..speed, speed limit, BSM and turn by turn nav right in your line of site and not having to take your eyes off the road. Gotta have AWD living here. The cooled and ventilated seas will be great for our guests and the wife. When we have guests a lot of time she will sit in the back. Heated steering wheel is also a must.

Still shopping but have looked around at a lot of vehicles. You definitely get your money’s worth for the $2,000. Most manufacturers charge more than that for the features you are getting in the Prestige Package.

Once you have had a HUD it’s hard to go without. 110v converter is nice to have. Napa leather is nice and usually pricier especially in “luxury” brands. The heated/cooled second row is a difficult feature to find at any price and especially come in handy in the hot summer months in Texas. Premium head liner gives it a more luxury feel. I have never had rain sensing wipers so I can’t judge.

Now bundled with AWD bumps it another $2,000 which I can see as being tough to swallow. But the all wheel drive does provide some safety as well even in milder climates. We all drive on wet slippery roads at some point.

Ditto on the HUD. Got used to one driving my Genesis for the last 4 years. They’re awesome. Especially when the Navi is engaged. I love every amenity in the Prestige package. It’s what made me commit to the first one in Seattle, after I fell in love with its look of course.

Hud is a distraction for me. Had as a teenager on a pontiac GTP really whats the difference in looking a few more inches down at a glance come on. Heats and cooled seats in back no thanks kids will break em. Not much quality difference in the Napa. I can buy an inverter for $20. I spent the extra money on bumper protector added tow package and since my sx nightfall came with ambient and added interior lighting i splurged for led scuff plates and window tint. With a G left for a nice truck gun. Im more than happy.

I intentionally did not get the Prestige package, for a few reasons. The cost wasn’t a huge factor for me. First, I decided I really liked the Butterscotch interior in a Dark Moss SX and Butterscotch leather is not available with the Prestige package. (I saw dune in another car and personally just didn’t like it as much. As for the foo-foo headliner - 😑 I don’t spent a lot of time looking at my headliner and find the black headliner that came with the Butterscotch leather looks really nice.

The other options that come with Prestige are things I can live without. Our kids are grown so we won’t be using the rear seats that often, thus heated and cooled second row seats are not really needed. The one option that would be kinda nice is the HUD, but it’s not worth the extra money to me. I have HUD in my Corvette and frankly can take it or leave it. With 51 years of driving under my belt I’ve gotten used to looking at an analog speedometer and tach. If HUD were a $4-500 add-on by itself I might have considered it. While I didn’t get the Prestige package, I did get the NF package, AWD and tow package.

Whether Prestige is worth it really depends on how important those few add-ons are to you and whether they are worth $2300 to you. If we had kids still at home those cooled and heated second row seats would have been nice.

What is the NF package? Thank you.

Love the Prestige Package. It got me the interior I really wanted: Dune Brown Nappa leather seats w/ black polymer trim pieces and a dark premium cloth microfiber headliner. The HUD is awesome, and the other Prestige features too. In my opinion it's well worth it. I'm not a fan of the NFE (Nightfall Edition) for Dark Moss because I like chrome accents that break up the exterior color. Kia spent a lot of time getting it right so SX P/T is my personal recommendation, but definitely get what you like the best and will make you the happiest :)

I appreciate your input! Thank you. I too am not a fan of the NFE. I've always liked chrome on cars.

I don't know about non-prestige, but I'm thinking the premium headliner cuts down on the road noise. The extra fuzzy stuff seems like it would asorb road wind noise from above, and stop road noise from below by not simply bouncing off the ceiling. Wecab tell a difference with the moon roof shade open/closed.

Our SXP is by far the quietest ride we've ever owned. If you can swing it, I'd get it. I also love the HUD and barely need to refocus down to the cluster.

How many miles so far for Groot? Kelly the Telly is almost at 2,100 :)

That stands for Nighfall package. It's basically a new package for 2021 in which various parts are all "blacked out." Notice how my Telly's Gril and lettering, chrome bits, headlamp insides, etc., are all black.
