Here is a chart that compares the price of the Sorento (V6 - AWD) vs Telluride (V6 - AWD) and also the price in the US vs Canada.
For the Telluride, the Canadian price is not yet available. I will update chart as soon as the Canadian pricing of the Telluride is available.
As you can see below, the price of the Sorento vs the Telluride is between $1000 to $2000 cheaper for the Sorento for the same trim level. But I am pretty sure that you can get a bigger discount for the Sorento than the Telluride. But I still think that you get more bang for your buck for the Telluride.
Because of our crappy Canadian dollar (1 US$ = 1.33 CDN$) a Sorento is actually cheaper in Canada if you convert the US price in Canadian dollar (15% cheaper).
Note: For the different trim levels, I have not done a full comparison of all options for each trim levels between the US and Canada.
