phew 7 pin here.
No - 21 & 22 ordered with tow package are 7-pin.Any factory installed 4-pin connections on 2022 models?
I keep reading it and that's not obvious to me. My VIN is within the range listed but I purchased S9F67-AC000 4-pin harness in July 2019 online presumably by a Kia parts supplier and installed it myself. I'll probably just buy the Tekonsha #118784 or Curt #56420 and hold on to see if I could return the Kia one for a credit at some point. If you have the factory 4-pin harness, you’re covered.
Don’t forget to turn on your lights otherwise you won’t see any voltage.Note: This post is not meant to instruct you on how to address this issue. I'm simply showing you I addressed it for my specific situation. I am not responsible for repairs or alterations made by you to your vehicle.
- The trailer fuse is located in the under hood fuse box
- I tested the trailer pin voltage while running to confirm power
- Pulled the fuse
- Retested to confim power was no longer live at the 4 pin connector
The 7 pin was not included. If it was, it would have been a part of the recall.I know I have the 7 pin so I assume I am OK. I can not park outside because pack rats will eat my cars. I will pull the fuse if need be.
Please let us all know if the 7 pin hitch turns out to be a problem also.
Thanks!

This may only work if your VIN has the factory installed 4-pin harness. In other words if the tow option was on your original window sticker. I bought the Kia 4-pin harness after taking delivery therefore my VIN shows no recalls. I’ll wait for the letter from Kia. In the meantime I pulled the fuse as a previous poster recommended and continue to park in my garage.Go to the nhtsa website and enter your VIN. It says there were 36,417 Tellurides potentially affected. 27,744 are easy to identify… those are 2020 Tellurides equipped from the outset with the port installed option. Then it says part sales data show another 8,673 components were sold to dealers for installation. If you bought one, that would include yours. The problem is, there is no easy way for a Kia to know you have one because if it wasn’t installed from the outset, it isn’t attached to your VIN. But ultimately, if you have the product, you’re covered.I keep reading it and that's not obvious to me. thanx for that!Read the available documentation carefully...
Only if you have 4-pin OEM harnes installed... not one from an aftermarket store...
All years are being recalled just in case owners may have had the OEM 4-pin installed, factory or elsewhere...
Take a breath and relax... only 1 fire reported and 5 other harnesses showing heat damage... out how many thousands...
Pulling the fuse is a good temp fix as long as you're not towing (and if it's a separate fuse - I haven't looked)

I guess I should have read the whole post
