Yes, the mirrors waving at you could be an annoyance, but on the other hand it is confirmation that you pressed the right sequence of buttons.

I knew going in I would need to purchase a remote start for my wife's new sx. I live in Shreveport LA and there is a shop here that installs the Evo One by Fortin that allows you to use the original key fob to start the car. When I got mine back it uses a lock-unlock-lock pattern on the key fob to start the car but I also know that it can use a Lock-Lock-Lock pattern on the key fob to do it also. I do not know why the L-U-L pattern was used on mine and am going ask the installer the difference. On Fortin's site it says the Telluride is compatible with the 3x lock pattern and I would find that better with the auto folding mirrors so they would not try to open and close with the pushing of the lock and unlock buttons to start the car. Everything including installation was $450. Just glad I budgeted for it. Makes my wife much happier.
Mine does the same. Half the time I get some error after waiting minutes!Uvo app isn’t the greatest. Mine makes me lock the doors from the app, even if I locked them when I get out of the car. So it’s really two steps to start it. You’d think it would know if they are locked or not?
Yes I added into my deal when I purchased. Still not released yet but it allows your current key fob to be programmed to start the vehicle remotely using a button sequence.
It is available but the dealerships don't have it. Fortin Evo One is what I had installed on our 2020 Telluride. Works great but if you get one installed, or even do it yourself, make sure the Lock Lock Lock key combo is programmed and not the Lock Unlock Lock pattern. With the auto fold mirrors the L-U-L combo will cause the mirrors to go in and out when starting the car. They did that to us and I am taking it back to have them program the 3x lock. They are doing that for free.@Razorback - assuming no news is not good news in this case... any word on the remote start programmed into the standard key fob?
Don't know if it the same one but the dealers do not show it at all. I had mine installed at a place recommended by the dealer and they had it in stock and took about 3 or 3.5 hours to install itSo you suspect the one @Razorback is talking about is the Evo One you had installed?
Their dealer list has nothing listed for N IL or S WI - but, it also doesn't show anything in LA where you said you had yours done...

Hey Rigit do you know if the Fortin Evo One had a harness available for the Telluride or if your installer had to splice wires? Thanks.
They said they would not have to splice any wires and that it did not validate the warranty. You can go to EVO-ONE integrated bypass, remote starter and alarm system module | Fortin to learn more. It sounded impressive to me and when the installer carried them and had them in stock i had to get it installed right then!Ditto
I have spoken with a few different installers and with Crutchfield. Doesn't look like there is a T-harness yet for the Telluride. With the popularity of this vehicle I am sure there will be a T-Harness soon.
Yeah - just got a reply to an inquiry directly to Fortin:

Thank you for contacting Fortin Electronic Systems Technical Support.
"For install - do you have a plug and play harness for the Telluride or is wire tapping/splicing required?"
- No t-harness available. hardwired connections mandatory.
- The near distributor is DAS distributors in Moline IL US.
Best Regards,
Derek

So splicing is required (unless the install folks created their own)... and no distributor close to me... I'll be watching if they make a T-harness, then it would be worth the trip.
Also have an email out to Viper to see if any of their systems can be programmed to use the OEM fob - I'll post their reply when I get it...
Better chance IdataStart will have something.
I am not exactly sure what they do or do not have to consumers as of yet but I do know the installers that installed mine showed me what they called a T-Harness and actually pointed out where everything plugged in and how they were going to do it. They also said there would be no spicing and it wouldn't void the warranty. I guess the guys that installed mine were sharper than I thought. I am just glad I didn't have to install it after I saw what they had to go through. I may have turned my head long enough for them to sneak a splice in but I sure didn't see them do it. With that said I have dealt with computers of some sort most of my life and had to make cables, motherboards, and harnesses for connecting multiple hmi's and plc's together. It isn't that hard when you know where everything is supposed to connect. The installers, or someone they know, could have made the t-harnesses for them. Letourneu Industries in Lonveiw Texas made everything for their huge front end loaders used in mining. The front bucket could hold something like 15 ford pickups. They made every part on that thing. Controller boards to all the wiring harnesses, hydraulics and even had a steel mill on site to furnish all the steel that went into it all. Amazing. I still believe there is an installer that uses no splicing somewhere other than the one in Shreveport. If these guys can figure it out I am sure someone else can. Granted my installation was $100 more than what you are being quoted but the knowledge that there was no taping going on in my wiring makes me feel the extra money for the harness that was used in mine is well worth it.I have spoken with a few different installers and with Crutchfield. Doesn't look like there is a T-harness yet for the Telluride. With the popularity of this vehicle I am sure there will be a T-Harness soon. If I get impatient and have a local installer do it I will give them Posi-taps and make sure they use them. I have been quoted $325 at one place and $350 at another. Both said they would use Posi-taps if I insisted and provided them.
Where are these folks located? Dealer locator didn't show anything in the US...
