• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Remote start

I have read on the Kia web site thst the the Telluride comes with remote start as standard as long as you have the UVO app and subscription. When I asked the Kia dealer they said it does not have remote start. Does anyone know what the answer is?
Uvo is a on line app that does have a remote start but I was so unimpressed with it being sooo slow and not a lot on it I got a after market car starter installed on the phob.

Not sure if many have heard about this yet or not, but Apple IOS 14 is going to have something called Apple CarKey. BMW is supposed to be one of the first to do it, but you will be able to use your phone as a key fob and you can use IOS to lock, unlock and start the car. You will also be able to send someone else CarKey access to be able to drive your car as long as the phone is within range of the Near Field Communication (NFC) reader. Since the NFC technology is android based, I presume something for Android phones will follow.

If Kia decided to make the UVO app compatible with CarKey (and an Android equivalent) then there might be some value in that subscription.

it seems orderable now with a take over and non takeover option 299 and 325

there suppose to do a discount for us too from what one poster negotiated. i would also like to see the install and see how bad the 2 wires are and where the plug ins are. but this will make the wife really happy finally

I also want to see that and know the discounted price. And want a guarantee this won’t void any warrantees

We need @bogie to check on the group buy discount

Did just that - the coupon code is TELLURIDEPRE - gets a 10% discount

Ordered mine!
Awesome!

Now that I'm looking at it, I have a question. Once started, how long does the vehicle run before shutting off? Is that still controlled by the vehicle (so similar to the UVO remote starting), or by the module?

I figure that's worst case - and I can live with it... waiting to see instructions for the Accessorides kit...

I wish there was more info on the 2-wire takeover version. Are most of you buying the plug and play only with no takeover?

No, I'm considering the one with takeover.

Takeover also I emailed them today to see if the phone app was something I could add later.

@bogie Which did you order? will the UVO app still work after this install (still on my free year) I look forward to hearing from you all how well this works and ordering it myself :-)

ordered non-takeover... didn't want to splice any wires... for now, just with 3X lock on oem fob... can always add longer range...

I'll do my best to keep the thread posted...

What does plug and play even entail? Plugging into OBD? Or unplugging an existing harness and adding adding on an additional split harness/module box?

I just purchased the non-takeover plug & play with OEM remote and hopefully it is as good as advertised! I watched a couple reviews from folks who installed in their Toyota's and they seemed pleased. Appears that install should be unplugging and reconnecting a few connectors in the steering column that connects to a new module box that should fit in there. I would have liked to have takeover but don't really want to splice wires.

Well I ordered this morning from accessorides and just got notice that it has already shipped and their is a USPS tracking number. Shipping from Allentown, PA. So looks like they are filling them very quickly!
