• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Remote start

I just received the module with Takeover. Here is a picture of the 2 wires and the instructions.

Any questions please let me know.

🙏 what I was waiting for. Could you please re-attach the instructions? Not working for me. Says “requested page could not be found” when I click on the PDF.

Ok let me try it again.

Awesome. New attachment works. Thanks. The two-wire takeover doesn’t look too complicated. the only warning is to avoid the coolant lines under center stack when routing the wires over to the fuse box. The insructions for takeover were still written the same as the non-takover instructions. Probably in error.

Hopefully you can share a video demo of it working when you have it installed. 👍

The two wires that go over to the fuse box... where do those wires hook into the remote start module?

@James216 Did you mount the small cellular reception module on your windshield like the instructions suggested? Were you able to open your A pillar with relative ease to do it if so?

It appears they go to the large black connector M1. I have attached photos. They also added 2 fuses inline.

Sorry to be a pain - but can you give a pic of the entire remote start module? Trying to determine if it the same module as the non-takeover, just with additional connections... TIA

So I guess Accessorides value add is the plug and play T harness and easy installation. I'd say very nice.
I believe they also pre program the module for the options (no takeover/takeover) also fortin/idata(compustar) the available installation instructions all show 10+wires on the drivers side. Idk how or what they did but 2 connectors on pass side and done! Gotta pay for that research and the harness. Im glad they figured it out!

Not that my memory is all that good (and it was just 2 days ago ) - but I don't recall the place for that 'long wires' plug on the non-takeover unit... I think the non unit was a bit shorter and without that socket

Did send them an email asking why they didn't make the fuse block side a t-harness as well - looks like it could'a been made 100% P+P for either takeover or non...

I probably would'a bought the takeover if it had been 100% P+P...

I know you can upgrade to their other remotes or the app after the fact, wasn't sure about upgrading to takeover if there was a change of mind...

Can anyone with a non-takeover they haven't installed yet take pics of their module? Just plain curious...

I think for the engineering that went into this, the T harnesses and the convenience. I think it is a good deal(y)

I have a couple silly questions for the non-takeover unit.

1) Is there an additional black programming module that is part of the kit, and if so where are people locating that. I do not see any pictures in the instructions, or is this just for programming and not used after install? Sort of confused? What a I missing?

2) I am assuming after the programing is complete that BOTH remotes will start the car?

No. I read the instructions several times trying to figure out what they meant. I think it says high inside the dash. I attached it to the inside front part of the dash because that was the only flat surface I could find. The inside of the top of the dash wasn't flat and I could not find a place to attach using the zipties. I'll probably regret it at some point when it falls but I used a command strip to attach it.

@mrplatz - similar to the takeover module in @rwhite4573 pics above, there is a module box that all the wires plug in to that needs to be tucked away. I zip tied mine to the wiring harness next to the blue/red/green plugs..

If you mean both FOBS, then yes, both work 3X Lock to start...

Awesome, thanks for the info. I did not see this mentioned in the video or instructions, did I miss something?

Yes, meant FOBS.

Also, is there a long range option with an antenna wire, did you install that?

There is a long range separate fob option and/or phone app option that I believe both require an antenna placed somewhere. I did not do either of those yet... waiting to see if the fob range will work well enough.

I believe @Tellthemride was talking about antenna placement for the phone app option.
