Rim fix?

I have the LX wheels and gravity gray telluride. Was looking to get black rims. Any recommendations? Plasti dip?

I had the S rims powdercoated. About $600 and a few days without the car, but Covid and the kids home for school made being without the car easy. Some people on her have done solid work using plasti dip. The new, Hyper dip seems to be and improved option for the rims as well. They have some videos on Youtube that show how.

Do you recommend it? How long does it last? Would you have to do it again like every three years?

The powdercoated should last as long as you take care of the. They strip the wheel down and the spray them. They have held up great. I have used the hyper dip to black out all the chrome on mine and love it. There are some areas that I have had to touch up, but for the cost, it is worth it in my opinion. But honestly, for the cost, powdercoat on the rims at a shop would be my suggestion. This was just after the rims were done

What did you use on those rims? I have the same ones and think it is a waste to buy new rims just cuz i want them black.

Take a closer look and you will see. I swap the stock ones for a OEM SX wheels

Why not Cerakote the wheels?

Prices have come down and it's a stronger, thinner ceramic-based coating that's considered my many in the industry to be superior to powdercoat.
