In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Telluride sx lift and larger tires

Just installed! I kind of nicked the paint rim around the rear emblem as you can see in the picture but I figure just a little sanding and touch up paint later? Black Wheels next!
Great look! I know it may be too soon for you to know, but do you anticipate problems with the self-leveling shocks due to the Truxxx lift kit? Several have made a solid case that this is a very real problem. Might you have thoughts or additional info to offer?

I just got my 2” Truxxx lift in the mail yesterday. Going to install it this weekend. Crossing my fingers all goes well. I will be installing on our 2022 telluride with the self leveling shocks. I’ll update if I run into an issue with sagging in the rear after completed.

It will definitely sag about 1/2 inch. I'm currently working with a pro shop to get it leveled, and it's going to take a taller spacer or additional spacer to make it happen. There's no way around that unless you swap the nivomat shocks with a standard set

That’s what I was worried about but had heard people with mixed outcomes. Had I done more research initially I would have just installed an aftermarket hitch receiver myself and skipped the factory towing package.
I’m going to install the kit either way but will be interested to hear what exact solution you end up with to correct it. Thanks for the heads up

My thoughts exactly.

That’s awesome, but I’m squeamish modding factory vehicles.....

Will the SEMA Telluride ever happen?

The Telluride has awesome looks....but for mpg and ground clearance I may have to go with the Ascent.

The Bronco is appealing, but I will never take the roof and doors off....lol.

Below would be my ideal vehicle....Subaru has a “wilderness” package coming to the Forester and smaller....come on KIA you can do it!

Subaru has the Wilderness package on the Outback now and it is looks sharp, and functional. Not just good looks but a nice 9.5" ground clearance - jiminy crickets! Would like to see the Ascent get same.

Looks nice, but no ventilated seats. That's a deal breaker for me.

Looks good man.. I have an EX Telluride that came with the 18” wheels.. I had the Truxxx kit installed by a shop, and then went with a 20” wheel and 255/55/r20 Toyo Open Country AT3 tire.. Diameter of wheels and tires is 31”. I love it.. it’s tight, but no rub.. anything bigger and it would’ve rubbed.. adding the side steps and crossbars tomorrow..
Hey great setup. So I'm thinking of getting different tires, lifting, etc. but I'm curious what you all mean by "rubbing"? The tires come in contact with which part of body, when - turning, or when suspension is fully compressed? Why would you tolerate any rubbing, since it can be dangerous...? Thanks.

Any issues with the functionality of the safety equipment and sensors ?

Any update on the install? Any issues/sagging? Our telluride comes in in a few weeks and planning on the truxx lift.

Want to install my Truxx 2 in lift tomorrow but I do not know the Axle nut torque for when I put it back together. Anyone know what it is or where I can find it? Thanks
You do not need to remove the axle nut. I did this lift today without touching it. Pretty simple install.

How much did you all pay to have your truxxx lift kit installed? I am getting quoted from $400 - $600. Did you install it yourself? If so how would you rate the difficulty? I have done basic auto work before, but I am no mechanic and I know I would need an alignment afterwards.
If you know how to replace struts it is a fairly easy job. In the rear, I removed the sway bar bolt, shock bolt, and spindle bolt. This allowed the lower control arm to drop down and push by hand. Used the jack to lift everything back into place.

Same here.. and called around and most places wanted to see it before providing a quote. It took my shop five hours to install and do the alignment.. I paid about $550 total
Took myself and brother, who mostly just worked the jack for me 2 hours and 20 minutes. Wanted to keep track because the first person to post said 2 hours.

Finally had Nitto RIDGE GRAPPLER 265/50R20 on 2022 SXP nightfall wheels without a lift.
I was not sure if they would rub or not, fortunately they don't at all even on full lock.

In the end, how much did this all end up running you if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve been seriously consider doing this with my Telly, but don’t want to break the bank, or the wife won’t be happy, lol. I know the truxxx kit is about 300 on Amazon, so how much did the shop charge you after for the install/wheels/tires?

Just wanted to share my 2021 Telluride SX-L set up.
After reading through a lot of this thread I was pretty hesitant to install the Truxxx 2" lift, but after some correspondence with the owner of Truxxx I was reassured that as long as the directions were followed correctly, there shouldn't be any issues with the install. Kia Victoria did the install for me and I've had the vehicle for around 2 months with the lift on it. I've taken it on a few trips on moderately poor forest roads and it's been great. I haven't noticed any problems with the lift kit since install. I built a removable sleeper platform in the back for some easy remote working and camping/sleeping off the grid. I use a combination of camping air mattress and a memory foam top layer for some pretty dang good comfort. I use a sattelite SMS service for work comms when I'm out of reception. Very happy so far! Happy to answer any other questions about the set up or off the grid work stuff.

Telluride SX-L in Dark Moss w/ Light Nappa Leather interior
Dealership installed rain guards & wired hitch
Truxxx 2" Lift kit
Black Rhino Sandstorm 18" wheels
Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/60/R18
Rhinorack Sunseeker Awning
Thule Evo Rack
Yakima Skinny Warrior
Thule hull-a-port kayak mount.

What are the specs on your wheels? back spacing and offset? Any rubbing? I just installed this lift on my brothers Hyundai palisade. Fairly easy install. Thanks!

Wheels are SKU 1880SND355100M56 Sandstorm Truck Rims by Black Rhino

Offset 35, back spacing 5.87

There is very minor rub when backing down a hill and turning simultaneously at a very hard angle. I.E. my steep driveway getting on to the road.

Looks great. I am shocked that you were able to fit those tire on there without issues (or a lift).
