This photo on Facebook convinced me to Chrome delete. I was on the fence. Looks right on the Moss Green.
Really like the chrome delete. What kind of shop should I be looking for to have this done?
Had mine done at a detail shop along with PPF on the front end and ceramic coating. Some tint shops will do chrome delete as well.Really like the chrome delete. What kind of shop should I be looking for to have this done?
You are correct about it probably being a pain trying to find one. BUT, we have a Moss Green SX and it is gorgous! Traded in a gray Pilot and looked at a gray Telly, but to me, it did nothing for the vehicle. (still a sweet ride) Yes, it is a baby poop green/brown but looks freakin awesome! Especaily with the black wheels! (looks black sometimes, green others, and occasionally brown). I was up in the air myself and worried i wouldnt like it after I ordered it, but when i saw it, I loved it. Sorry if this makes your decision more difficult. If you can find one, buy it, you'll love it!!Getting an SX in gray in one month but freaking out about the color. It took me a while to finally hunt one down and get a deposit on it. My other color of choice is the dark moss but I was worried about it looking kinda like a pukey brown so I passed on it and went with the gray. Now that ive seen one in person though Ive pretty muched changed my mind and very much want the moss green but cant imagine the headache it will be to try and find one, not to mention the extra time I will have to wait.. A lot of the pics of the gray look solid, but just seems like a safe choice, not special.. What should I do?
Agreed! My first choice was gravity gray as I traditionally love that type of color in a vehicle. However when I saw the Moss Green in person, I loved it on the Telluride and decided I've owned enough gray vehicles with black interior. So, I ordered Moss Green SXP with Dune Brown and love it! The black wheels set it off and I blacked out the badges. I actually did a chrome delete and liked it but had it removed as it was not done to a professional level. Have to admit though after seeing it blacked out, then again with chrome, I like the chrome better. It's such a dark vehicle, the chrome adds a little pop that it needs. You are correct about it probably being a pain trying to find one. BUT, we have a Moss Green SX and it is gorgous! I don’t know what part of PA you are from but within 2 weeks ago South Hills Kia outside of Pittsburgh has an SX Green Moss AWD with tow coming in around August 22nd. At that time it was not presold.Getting an SX in gray in one month but freaking out about the color. It took me a while to finally hunt one down and get a deposit on it. You're the only person that can answer that question. I kept my previous car for 10 years and plan to do the same with the telluride. So I made sure I had every single detail that I wanted. I wanted Moss because I really like the aggressive look of it and its unique..I really like the white but I felt like if I settled for anything other than my first choice I would regret itGetting an SX in gray in one month but freaking out about the color. I'm picking mine up this morning. I already have the blacked-out badges then I will put on this weekend. I was going to keep the chrome around the window trim. But I'm definitely plasti dipping the telluride lettering on both the front and the back. I have a roll of black matte vinyl that I was going to use on the top and bottom border of the grill. When you did your chrome delete did you also wrap the border of the front grill? If so which one do you prefer?Agreed! that's mine........
I chrome deleted everything except the roof rails and tiger grill. I did do the top and bottom of the grill. It was all done in matt black. Definitely a good look. I may end up doing it again but through a different company. The one I used just couldn't get it right stating there were some hard angles/curves and all the gaps being very tight. For the Telluride lettering, I had it painted in matt black and the AWD and SX badges removed. Did replacement front and rear badges and overlays on the wheels and steering wheel.I'm picking mine up this morning. I already have the blacked-out badges then I will put on this weekend. Thanks for sharing the pics. that looks great. I plan on doing the top and the bottom of the grill (DIY vinyl wrap), lettering and badges for sure. Where part of the project did the company you used have trouble with? with the window trim?I chrome deleted everything except the roof rails and tiger grill. I did do the top and bottom of the grill. Window trim, door panels, and skid plates. Said the gaps were very tight on the window trim and door panels and the curves on the skid plates were very difficult to do a single piece of vinyl. As a result, you could see chrome along the edges. Thanks for sharing the pics. that looks great. I plan on doing the top and the bottom of the grill (DIY vinyl wrap), lettering and badges for sure.
