Just the vin but u can track by dealers so it’s awesome if you want to know who is getting what

I put a deposit on a Telly that the dealer has on order but they don’t have a VIN yet. He said that they should get a VIN in a couple of weeks. Is this out of the ordinary ?

Yeah, that's normal. You don't get the VIN right away. Deposit --> Wait --> The order has to be accepted by KFOS --> VIN posted

We ordered a Kia Telluride on October 31. On the documents we signed and looked over at the dealer on that day, under vehicle information, a VIN was listed. That VIN showed up on the failcat website but it showed that the VIN was created in September and was not the same options that we ordered on our Telluride. Not sure why this VIN was on our papers. Asked our dealer last week if they had any updates and they did not. Is there anything we can do to track or get an update from here, we have not been given a VIN yet? There is one vehicle on the failcat website right now that appears to have the same options we ordered but not sure if its ours or not. Any help is appreciated!
