• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... UVO Expiring Soon

I'm so disappointed with the Uvo experience and pricing. I feel like we've been mislead by Kia. I took my Telluride to my local Kia dealership today and asked them if they could give me a key fob option. They said it's not available on the Telluride and that I have to use the Uvo app/fee. It's ridiculous that customers who buy Tellurides are forced into this expensive price and poor service. They allow other vehicles to have key fob remote start but not Telluride?

Can we team up and sign a petition and put pressure on Kia leadership? I want them to to do one of both of these things: (1) allow Tellurides to get key fob remote start for $200 or less. (2) Create basic remote start Uvo price tier for $1-$3 / month.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!!

You must be talking about the 2020MY. You're wasting your time with Kia - this has been discussed ad nauseam on the forum for more than a year. Kia won't do anything. But, fortunately, Accessorides came to the rescue with a solution for remote start using keyfob for the 2020 MY. See this thread and/or search "Accessorides".

@Tellthemride: Thanks for the screenshots. (y)

I get that not everyone wants to keep it going, and to each their own.

I did go over the different levels of UVO packages and for me, there's likely value in keeping similar functionality to what I have now. I'll wait to see what Kia offers me for the special end-of-trial pricing.

I'm going to want to keep those awesome remote access features + prefer on-board Nav, and the full array of alerts (including Geofence, speed :ROFLMAO:, haven't used them all yet, but prefer the option of having them).

If the price isn't right, I can always say no.

Had plenty of practice saying "no" in my Kia Telluride ownership experience. ;)

No drilling into the beautiful front-end of my Telly to mount a front license plate.
No markup over MSRP
No to all offers in finance
No to extended warranties
No last-minute surprise dealer options/Nitrogen-filled tires/VIN etching
No mysterious interior/exterior treatments/coatings
No extension on SiriusXM beyond the trial.

I'll break a long-running "no" streak if I answer yes to another year of UVO 😂
Hey… you had me at “no drilling”… So what solution did you find to mount the front plates? We don’t want to drill into our beautiful new toy either!

Some have used sly brackets, others have used adhesive tape for the stock front bracket.

While there are some nice no-drill clamps/mounting options, I don't have one.

I do carry the front plate in the car and display it on the dash behind the windshield if I absolutely need to do so.

Otherwise, I think the Telly looks better with just the rear plate displayed, don't you?

I do too. Not sure where this came out of a disgruntled UVO thread but whatever. No plate needed in PA

Unfortunately we don’t get to choose in our state. Gotta have both.

Just checked prices to upgrade after logging into my owner account. It does have different pricing after logging in. $14.99/month for Plus and $19.99/month for Ultimate. Maybe they don’t update the public web page anymore.
2020 guy here…back in my day, they were charging $25/mo. Really! I installed a hard wired remote start for $150. Works great.

Which one did you install?

My app no longer tells me if my doors are left unlocked. It used to do it but I’m not sure what changed.

Hey, I just noticed that too!

Mine works fine .
Maybe restart phone or see if the app needs updating.

Hey, I just noticed that too!
I’m gonna keep an eye on it. I purposefully left them unlocked a couple times and it sent me the notification, so not sure what’s going on there.

I still get door left unlocked notifications through my app. Even without paid UVO too.

Its funny to me you folks are WANTING the app to keep notifying you when the doors are unlocked. I just wish I could turn it off 😆. It warns me every time I leave it, and I don't want that when its in my closed garage. Turning off the notifications in the app doesn't work....

Then maybe you should try to go to the UVO portal to turn them off.

You sure you’re turning off the right thing?

Make sure you have “door security assist” turned off if you don’t want it.

I think I remember at some point reading that the nav directions on the HUD only work with the UVO subscription, but I cannot find that comment now. This will be the thing I miss when my trial expires in a couple of weeks. Can someone confirm if this is true?

Negative. It works without subscription.
