My 2021 SXP Uvo expired a few months ago, and I didn't even really consider paying for the service. My experience with the app was pretty poor (clunky, slow, not a lot of confidence in it). I might have thought a little more about it if I had an earlier model without remote start, but I still probably wouldn't pay the monthly fee just for that. Personally I think Uvo is too expensive, but that's just my subjective opinion.
I recently watched a review video of the EV6 and was pretty disappointed to see the same app and much of the same crappy infotainment experience (and still no Android Auto widescreen support even in their flagship EV!). I was pretty excited about Kia's technology when I bought this car, but it's been a fairly disappointing trend since then.
