• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... UVO Nav issue

This happened to my 2020 SXP telluride last week. Updating today (still on old format GUI) The factory reset did not resolve my issue.

For Googlers trying to figure out this issue on other Kia vehicles (this Telluride forum is the only one talking about it): I'm currently having these exact same issues on my EV6 (US) and there are zero updates available for the software. So an update isn't the only option to fix. There has to be something else.

New one for me. I searched but didn't see this exact issue referenced in other threads (maybe I missed it though). Wondering if any others have seen it.

I'm still in my trial period for UVO. When I try to set any navigation destination, I get the popup message below under a UVO banner. It's unable to find a route for me. This started three days ago and has been persistent regardless of my location or the destination I try to use. UVO seems to be working properly otherwise (I can use the app to lock/unlock the car, send voice text messages, etc.) Anyone else experienced this?

Yes I have the same issue again. Last year after Kia recommendation they replaced my radio and screen and it fixed it but started again almost a year to the day. The dealer tried to reset and update but only a replacement worked. I have called in to the dealer will update when I get some info.

Same issue here. Started a few days ago, so I tried resetting to factory setting, but obviously that didn’t work. My subscription doesn’t end until November. Any suggestions?

Does this only happen when you are in a suburb with poor cell reception or in metro areas too? Pressing on-board routing doesn’t work?

I live on Long Island in NY. Never had an issue before, so it’s definitely not where I’m driving. Yes, pressing on-board routing let’s it continue, but why should that happen all of a sudden. I know it’s not just my car since others seem to be getting the same error message. There’s a thread about it on Facebook as well. Waiting to see if UVO fixes this glitch on their end, if not I’ll call Monday. Doubt the dealership will be able to assist.

I have this same issue but once the vehicle moves the GPS finds the route. If you program a destination and just sit still it gives the two messages in this forum thread. Maybe I don't notice and I am only using local map once it starts. I find it annoying more than a drop dead issue.

So clearly if random people, within random geography, with random years and models ...it must be a UVO issue. Definitely not a car issue, Hopefully it corrects itself in the next few days. Not a drop dead issue, but annoying if they don’t fix it just the same. I’m one of those people that is actually too lazy to plug in my phone so I do happen to use the car navigation pretty often ,would like to have this fixed relatively quickly 🤷‍♀️

Same issue as above with NAV since yesterday afternoon/evening. Seems to be the service itself, as everything else seems to be working including the button to locate a destination. The only issue is once it gets through the routing screen, the network reflects 'unstable network connection, use OnBoard'. I am updating my software now, but doubt it will fix the issue with the NAV routing. But I do get the Black theme out of the deal, which is something I have been looking for.

Well, it seems the update did resolve my problem as of now, or the issue resolved itself during the update... not sure. Loving the all Black theme though.

I downloaded the update today to a thumb drive, will try to update my car tomorrow. Can only hope for the best. 🤞
Any other changes?

This was the only thing that 'mattered' or would be beneficial in my opinion. There is another thing about FM radio while in a tunnel, but not sure that is really a big deal. Big thing to share - it told me that it would take 25min to update, it was exactly double that time for me (50min). Map update (update 1 of 5) took about 25min alone.

Thank you. Good to know. Hopefully I do it correctly and it all works out in the end. Did you leave it running in your driveway, or were you able to be out and about while updating?

Running, and sat in the vehicle during the entire process.
Also there are (2) options - Update Now, or Background Update. I did Update Now.

You said black background, did they change it from the purple one?

Is mapsoft still a reliable site for the most current update ?

Thanks

The purplish background is the main home screen.

The maps app did add the ability to have an always black option in the newest version (there are now four different color choices). If you select it, you can have a black map at any time you have the stock map on screen (full screen, split screen).

Mapnsoft is where you go if you want them to mail you a ready-made USB.

Kia’s update site is where you go if you’re going to download yourself.

I tried doing the download.Several times. I keep getting the error message that there are no supported files. I see now in one of the threads that you have to download some software to your computer to convert the files and I don’t know what they’re talking about. When I did the update in June 2021 I used this same usb (64gb) ( yes, I cleared it out so nothing else was on it) , l plugged it into my laptop, downloaded the software, went to my car, plugged it into the USB port and waited for it to finish downloading. Nothing complicated.
I guess I’m going to start plugging my phone in from now on instead of relying on the navigation system that’s in a car that is top in its class.
