• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I didn't. You obviously can if you want to.

Also, what do you mean ordered your update? The software should be free to download...unless something has changed that I'm not aware of.

I paid for the USB from mapsoft .

I have a 2 month old SX and i am having the exact problem. With the exact wording on the screen. I think this is a UVO problem that i hope they get fixed soon. I have been using it without any problems until last last week.

I have a 2020 EX-P and also just started having problems last week. Iโ€™m now on hold with UVO to see what they say. Iโ€™ll update if someone ever picks up the phone and takes me off hold. I get the Unsuccessful error message and the On-board Routing option, right after I get โ€œUnstable network connectionโ€. Once the On-board Routing activates ... Itโ€™s not correct.

I think this is the correct path. They were actually really helpful when I first reported this type of symptom at the top of this thread last year. There are multiple companies involved, so they had to investigate. But they did get back to me and explain what was going on.

Posting in case it helps others.

When I ran into this last year, the solution was to update to the (then) latest version. After many talks with the UVO support team, I learned that there are multiple companies involved in the entire chain needed to provide this service to us. At the error was caused by one of the third-party companies retiring some servers which were hosting functionality for the older version that I was on. There was no way I was going to be able to convince them to un-retire those servers, so the only answer was to update to the latest version. It did solve the issue for me.

Fast forward to two days ago. I hadn't had any problems since, but like many of you on this thread, the "unstable network" error while routing showed up for me too. I hadn't bothered to apply the November 2021 update. Since the symptom was so similar to what I experienced a year ago, I decided to spend an hour doing the update this morning. Sure enough, as soon as I got to the latest version, things immediately started working for me again. I tested it by searching for and setting routes to the exact places that failed prior to the update. So far so good.

The version I'm on now is ON.USA.SSW_M.V007.001.211127. If you're having problems and aren't on the latest version, that's probably the first step to try.

For those who are watching this with interest but just beginning their analysis here is how to check the version:KiaSoftwareUpdateScreenShot.webp

I have a 22 SX that is a month and a half old, and just started getting this in the past few days. Before I go through updating the nav, has anyone updated in the past few days and had it resolve the issue? I'm fine doing it if I know it will resolve my issue, but don't want to potentially cause more issues.

I do have an appointment scheduled Friday at the dealership, but if I can just do an update, that's obviously a simpler solution.

See my post #89 above from earlier today. I just updated today and my issue went away. Check the version you're currently on first (see post 90 above if you don't know how to do that). If you're version is not the latest, then IMO it's worth trying the update. It took me 90 minutes start to finish to download the files from the website onto the USB, then update the vehicle. Of course, most of that is just wait time so you can be doing other things. Pretty easy.

On my 22 SX i did not do the update as i think it is already where it should be, yet this morning it is back to working correctly. Tried it a couple of times and works fine. I am guessing UVO found where the problem was.

I am hoping this is the case. Unfortunately my son needed to use mine today, so I can't check the version or see if it's working right. I would hope with it being a month plus old, the version is right, but I guess we shall see tonight when he gets home!

I used my nav a bunch yesterday and got these messages but after 20-30 seconds it figured things out and worked every time it just took a while. I believe I have the April 2021 update.

I had some of that too. But it's cleared up entirely after I installed the Nov 2021 update.

For all those out there that are not tech savvy like me ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ, do yourself a favor and call Mapnsoft support at 888-757-0010. They walked me through formatting the flash drive and downloading the November 2021 update. The IT guy was fantastic. Once itโ€™s on the drive (took around 30 minutes) you plug it into your USB port in the car and go through the update steps, ( if I can do that part by myself, anyone can do that). This part took around 50 minutes. Just did a test of my navigation and it looks like itโ€™s all sorted out.

How do we go about changing the background color after the update has happened on the maps?

Setup > nav > map > map color. You can choose from milk, caffe latte, mocha, and black.
