If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Gap insurance with a Telluride not needed. Especially with that trade in and that much down. $4,000 markup. I wouldn't have paid that on EX model. Your $5,000 down payment just turned into $1,000 down payment

2022 TELLURIDE EX V6 AWD
  • Glacial White
  • EX Premium Package (Captain's Chairs, 20" Rims, LED Headlamps)
  • Towing Package
  • Carpet Mats
MSRP $44,210 ($1,225 Freight & Handling)
Agreed to a $4000 markup before negotiation
Total Price $48,000

Paid $5K down with ~$11K trade-in value
Got all the warranties since its my first KIA and I am terrified of all the internal components and the low profile tire durability (GAP, Tire/Rim, Bumper to Bumper) which bumped up my monthly payment by $68 for 72 years (~$5K)

All in all my monthly payment is $659
Feel like I am overpaying somehow still but very happy with my purchase
Went from a 2019 RAV4 XLE to a 2022 Kia Telluride EX and am paying $250 extra / month
Did I do alright or did I get hosed?
It sounds like a lot, but it could depend on taxes, fees, and your interest rate. My SX-P Nightfall (‘21, pre mid-year price increase) was MSRP, a whisker over $50,000. I put $5,000 and got $8,750 for my trade-in. I did the 66 month financing at 1.9%, added wheel protection for $500, and my payment is $655 a month (and I quadruple checked every number).

Sounds like you may have gotten smoked, but if you can make the payments, what’s done is done and it’s time to enjoy the car!

Paid $48,950 out the door (Tax, tag, fees) for loaded SX-P in March 2019. But, understand this is a different time and market. As others stated, if you like it.....enjoy it. You'll pay next to nothing for basic service.

You only got 11k trade in for a 2019 RAV4 XLE? You got hosed

You got hosed 3 times, once on the mark-up, once on the trade-in, and once on the warranty. But at least you know how much to budget for car payment for the next 6 years.

Got a 2022 Everlasting silver Telluride S for $38,200, dealer had a $1,255 markup. Tags, title, warranties and GAP i believe we walked away paying around 44K. Im not mad because they legit paid off my trade, so that was a win for me. I expected to be upside down a little bit. Even made a bet with the wife, and i won...LOL

Probably got hosed on the gap insurance too. It was $1 per year to add to my regular car insurance. (Not that it is needed in this market)

I paid sticker price…and not a dime more.
There was a $199 doc fee.

I'm curious if lending institutions are financing these vehicles with inflated prices?
MSRP of my Telluride was $49k but my credit union valued it at $65.7k....

I have orders at two place and one place it literally is just getting orders one per month. At that dealership I am #2 in line so maybe Feb if not then March for the order then delivery by like May/June.

The other place is getting more but my waitlist # realistically will put me in order phase in 5-6 months. Meaning I should get the car by like September possibly.

My question is if I end up getting the 2022 model from the first dealer and leave the second order open which would get me a 2023 - would I be able to sell the 2022 at what I paid? I am a newb in dealing with cars - but i was thinking it through right now that i might as well get both - see how it plays out - then sell the 2022 if i decide i don't want that version.

Any thoughts? Any risks here?

Wondering about expectations for price off msrp—my dealer is now taking orders but will only do it for msrp. Any ideas about negotiating price or expected rebates/incentives? Are other Kia models discounted much?
We paid MSRP, plus the extras I wanted. My total was about 55.

Hosed the fourth time: "....bumped up my monthly payment by $68 for 72 years"

His grandkids will be having grandkids by the time his Telly is paid for. :ROFLMAO:

Following!

Over the past week I've been looking for deals for a SXP 2022 AWD with nightfall/towing in and around NE Ohio (but also looking as far away as Indiana, North Carolina, and elsewhere based on the recommendations within this forum). It is crazy how diverse the prices and packages are right now and it seems as if even dealers don't know what they should charging their customers (when the truth is, they are charging exactly the right amount assuming they are selling everything before it hits the lot). Here's a sampling of what I have seen/heard:

- Order new build at MSRP, $500 down (fully refundable), 4-6 month to delivery (Halleen Kia)
- Order new build, $2k over MSRP, $500 + 3% down (Streetsboro Kia)
- Order new build, $2-4k over MSRP (Preston Kia)
- Order new build, $~4k over MSRP, 6 months to delivery (Kia of Bedford)
- Grab the exact model I want (including color) on their allocation, delivery 3/2, $4k over MSRP, $500 down (and trade-in valued at 92% of CarMax offer) (also Kia of Bedford)

Will likely go with the last option so we know we will have the car in time for Spring Break and summer trips to the beach.
