  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

If it has tow package, is a color other than silver, Moss or ebony black, and has several options like interior light kit (possibly), carpeted mats, cargo cover, etc, then yes.
It is moss green and has the light kit, I didnt even consider those other things. Will look into that today, Im going back in.

Maybe I can assist. My name is Evan and I am the Director for the department.

Daily we receive emails and calls from clients all wanting to purchase Tellurides at MSRP. Most people who have been waiting since April for the supply to increase or the pricing to drop are still in limbo waiting.

As I am sure you have already found out, there are no dealers (in this state) that have hit the MSRP mark yet. All dealers have a market addendum due to the supply, demand and the way Kia has priced the vehicles. In regards to the SX or SX Prestige packages, those vehicles are the highest in demand because they have been considerably under priced by Kia.

I am happy to help out in pricing and come off addendum pricing for you but we will not be at MSRP. I do not foresee a drop in demand, availability or pricing until sometime next year.

Best,

Evan Goldenberg

Fairfax Kia will sell to you with bo mark up, but you'll have to wait for one to arrive and put money down to hold it.
If you want to make the drive to MD, Kia of Bowie sells at sticker too.
Not much else in the DMV does.
Thanks. :)

Anyone have any advice or rough idea of markup in the NYC area--- can do NJ, Long Island, or NY.. any read on the situation in this area?

Most long island dealers were $2-3k over sticker. Only one I found selling MSRP was Eagle Kia in Riverhead at the time but they did not have a big inventory. I bought from a dealer in PA.

High!🤣

Which dealer?
$1,000 is on the reasonable end. I get emails daily $5k-15k markup for California.

Michael Kia in Groton, CT posts their real prices, no markup. Kia discounts include Veterans ($400) a financing incentive (ends today I think), Costco discount if you can find a Costco dealer (there is at least one on here), TrueCar discounts. That's all I've found.

If I have the luxury to wait a few (3-6) months, I am guessing that will make things easier as far as the current supply imbalances?

Sure, but people said the same thing 6 months ago, and now they are panicking because they didn't order then and now they don't want to wait another 4-6 months. If you can wait, I'd go ahead and place an order with a refundable deposit at MSRP. At least you'll have something ready if you want it then.

100%! No downside to place an order at MSRP with a refundable deposit!

Hi all,

New to the board and an admirer of the Telluride since I laid eyes on it but I kept telling myslef "but its a Kia" lol. All jokes aside this car has proven to be value in every way possible and I'm ready to pull the trigger if I find the right deal (I know its slim pickings at the moment). Any idea where in the DMV one can pick one up without a ridiculous price markup of $3500 (Koons Kia)? Im not afraid to buy out of state because thats how I bought my wifes Forester.

Kia of Leesburg is your best bet. I bought an awd S trim for MSRP there.

Another first time poster. I saw the Telluride at the MSP Auto Show in March and was hooked, but not ready to buy. Now I'm more to ready to buy (15 to 45 days from now). I'm kind of fussy, want a white SX with something other than white/gray interior leather, towing package and preferably the Prestige package.

Given my specific requirements, am I better off ordering? If so, how long can I reasonably expect to wait for it? Is it getting too late for a 2020 build order?

What's the likelihood of finding my specifications without ordering? I'm also willing to travel a reasonable distance to pick up a vehicle. I currently live in Minnesota, but will be relocating to Florida.

Second question, I'm not really inclined to pay over sticker. Does ordering usually dictate a better price?
