What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Just put my deposit down for a Telly with Dominic over at i25 Kia. No markup. NO BS.
I have been speaking with Dominic as well, he's been super on top of his replies. My only question is their dealer handling fee of 728$? Is that a blanket thing across all dealerships or is that essentially a markup?

Dealer fees are set by the dealers themselves. Some states regulate the limit while others don't. CO does not set a limit...

Was yours a custom order or? Mine was from one coming in already. Not sure if someone backed out or not.

Yeah it was an order I placed but I told him to let me know if an SX became available. The wolf gray NFE is clean. Not what I ordered but with a date of 5/5 I would have possibly got it but glad to hear you did.

I'm so glad I saw your post. So I had originally ordered a GG SX with him but reach out after seeing your post. I just switched my order to the other incoming SXP Wolf Gray NFE! Delivery date of 5/05!

Ok all, quick question please:
Ordered ours from Ashleigh at Napleton’s Mid River Kia (MO) 01/04, SX P, NFE, Moss with Dune. VIN 03/04, Car being delivered to us next week. They charged MSRP, only $199 admin fee (considering the amount of fedexing it s quite fair) and got us a 2.43%. Thus far excellent communication. Finance guy advised I get the extended components warranty which is 10yr 100k instead of 3/36 at $1600. Anyone has experience with this? Fiancee always gets extended warranties on new and I only buy certified germans typically since we keep them into the 6 yrs mark. They also have the equivalent to the Ceramic coating (forgot what it’s called) at $595 for both interior & exterior treatments but it seems less than ceramic (cheapest in my area is $1200 for 10 yr guaranty).
Thanks in advance!

Very nice!
was the ceramic coating at Muncie? And what did you pay for extended warranty plz?

The latest rumblings are that the 2022s are going to be essentially unchanged except for a price increase, something like $1500 supposedly. So IMO, it's not worth it. Yes, you'd have a "1 year newer" car, but you'll pay $1500 more for it and not really get any benefit.
Thought there would be a chance to put that turbo’d i4 in the 2022 once they see how the stinger does?

Originally they said 3-4 months, but my rep called me on Tuesday and said that the configuration I ordered is what they are producing right now so it will actually be here by the end of the month.
I hope you played the lottery the same day :)

Exactly, I was so close to buying the Pilot Elite but just couldn't get myself to agree to driving something that resembled a minivan more than an truck. I have a 2006 honda Odyssey which I purchased in mid 2005 that has been absolutely incredible. While Honda makes great cars they have fallen asleep on style, interior design/material and over all technology. Even the MDX failed to impress. So now KIA has my business. Very disappointed with Honda because I really like their motors and reliability.
Me too .. I am a Honda guy and have been patiently waiting for the Pilot but could not wait any longer and so have decided to go with a Telly.
BTW my '08 4cyl Accord has been rock solid in reliability except for the motor ... I have to constantly top up the engine oil due to the known consumption issue that Honda tries to ignore. Dealer did a "software" fix but that did not have any effect.

I'm in Portland, Oregon, have called all the dealers in the state. The best I can find regarding mark-ups is two dealers, Weston, in Gresham, and Kia of Bend at 3K over MSRP for all trim levels. Other dealers that are willing to disclose it over the phone are anywhere from 4k, 5k, 6k, and 8k(!) over on an SXP.

I put a $500 deposit down on a Black Copper / Black interior, SX, AWD, Prestige, Nightfall, Towing package with a few extra accessories (multi-color, lighted scuff plates, bumper protector, floor mats, cargo mats). They told me 3-4 months. After Tax (Oregon corporate tax gets passed straight to customers) License, etc, 55,900 out the door.

I don't feel terrible about that price considering the market, but less is always better. Would it be bushleague / bad juju of me if I keep hunting around for a better price while I wait for delivery? I could try SLC, UT as I have family/friends there and can make the 12 hour drive back.

Just found this forum. Two weeks ago I was able to get a Telluride EX at MSRP of $40,770. Bought it at Island Kia in Staten Island NY. They were the only NYC dealer offering the Telluride without a markup. A few days later I noticed they introduced a 1K markup.

I have heard no credible information to that effect, sounds like pure speculation...also, knowing how car manufacturers operate, the spec for the '22 Telluride at this point is locked and will probably enter production within 2-3 months. The new Stinger just went on sale like within the last couple weeks I think -- there's no time to "see how the stinger does" and then shove that engine into the Telluride for '22. I don't think we'll see any changes at all, essentially, for the '22 Telluride except that price increase.

Hello @LiquidUte, I too am from Portland, Or. During my extensive search some months back the dealers had a ridiculous markup on SXP of 5-10k. I could not and would not pay that price. After further research on this forum I found a few great dealers. Kia of Muncie in IN 1300 below msrp, however long wait. Hilltop Kia, Richmond, CA at MSRP long wait but closer to Oregon. NowCar online, $300 markup and will deliver car to your home shorter wait time (when I ordered). Wish you luck in your search!!

10 year/100k extended warranty (platinum) was $1,647 at Munice. Ceramic coating was done at a local shop by me.

Following up on the Portland area 3/18/21, Kia of Bend ended up being about $380 cheaper than Weston Kia out the door. Both have a $3,000 dollar mark up on all trim levels as of 3/18/21. This is the best price I found, and I called every dealer in Oregon (9 of them) as well as a couple in Washington. The difference with Bend being cheaper was the taxes. Oregon doesn't have sales tax, but Weston Kia in Portland (like some other dealers) are passing on the new 1% tax on corporations directly to the consumer. Bend doesn't seem to be doing this, and that makes up most of the difference.

Levi Fox at Kia of Bend was very helpful and hopefully still has my build in case something comes in early or prices go down more, but ultimately I stayed with Kaveh at Weston Kia who was also very good to work with. The $380 difference isn't enough for me to do a 7 hour round-trip to Bend and put those extra miles on the vehicle and burn extra gas. Plus if we want to try to trade in when the T-Ride comes in, it will be nice to be 25 miles away instead of 175 miles away if we don't like the offer. Both these dealers were very straight forward with everything, no surprises when getting the offers except for the OR CA Tax at Weston. So I think those are the two to look at as of now in OR. They told me 3-4 months So I'm expecting June/July.

I don't feel great about the markup, but considering that all the other dealers in state were 50% to 300%(!) higher than this markup, and every used Telluride in the region is selling *over* new MSRP, (even with 15K miles!), I feel ok about it. @sharitab503 Maybe I'll still look into Muncie, but it was nice to get a deposit put down on what seems to be the best price in town. I hope Nowcar works great for you, fill us in after you get it. I don't know why, I'm a little bit sketched to be doing a $50,000 purchase online.
