What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Made an order recently for MSRP (but 6-8 month wait), but another dealer just called me about one in stock but for $5K over. Either have it now or wait towards the end of the year. Decisions! 😫
Wait for vehicle and save more money for your down payment while waiting. It's amazing all the little crap you won't buy at the stores, when you are incentivized to skip the impulse purchases and put that $$ towards your down payment.

Following up on the Portland area 3/18/21, Kia of Bend ended up being about $380 cheaper than Weston Kia out the door. Both have a $3,000 dollar mark up on all trim levels as of 3/18/21. This is the best price I found, and I called every dealer in Oregon (9 of them) as well as a couple in Washington. The difference with Bend being cheaper was the taxes. Oregon doesn't have sales tax, but Weston Kia in Portland (like some other dealers) are passing on the new 1% tax on corporations directly to the consumer. Bend doesn't seem to be doing this, and that makes up most of the difference.

Levi Fox at Kia of Bend was very helpful and hopefully still has my build in case something comes in early or prices go down more, but ultimately I stayed with Kaveh at Weston Kia who was also very good to work with. The $380 difference isn't enough for me to do a 7 hour round-trip to Bend and put those extra miles on the vehicle and burn extra gas. Plus if we want to try to trade in when the T-Ride comes in, it will be nice to be 25 miles away instead of 175 miles away if we don't like the offer. Both these dealers were very straight forward with everything, no surprises when getting the offers except for the OR CA Tax at Weston. So I think those are the two to look at as of now in OR. They told me 3-4 months So I'm expecting June/July.

I don't feel great about the markup, but considering that all the other dealers in state were 50% to 300%(!) higher than this markup, and every used Telluride in the region is selling *over* new MSRP, (even with 15K miles!), I feel ok about it. @sharitab503 Maybe I'll still look into Muncie, but it was nice to get a deposit put down on what seems to be the best price in town. I hope Nowcar works great for you, fill us in after you get it. I don't know why, I'm a little bit sketched to be doing a $50,000 purchase online.
That's great, I am glad you found a dealer close by that worked out for you. I know a couple sales people at Weston and they are great, Weston or Dick Hannah Kia in Vancouver would of been my in town choice if the markup wasn't so high. Honestly, I was nervous purchasing a vehicle online were the dealer is out of state. But after seeing the reviews by other people in the forum and actually working with the rep, I felt comfortable. Then I thought .. well I did purchase my 2013 kia (back in 2013) virtual, from Tonkin so I went with it.

I ordered mine today! Ended up going with the Moss w/Dune Brown SX w/Prestige AWD, $46,215 out the door w/the following accessories at no cost: Illuminated scuff plates, all weather mats w/trunk liner, cargo net, rear bumper protection, and side steps at dealer cost. The rebates I got were the 1000 competitor and 400 military off MSRP. Not much of a discount and I shopped 8 dealers, most had the vehicle priced at an average 5k above MSRP when I see those side stickers I walk away. I did not pay tax as I'm a disable vet in GA. 1.9 @ 60. The nice thing is that the dealer is letting me drive a Sorento SX while the order comes in which is roughly 60 days away.
Where did you order from ? Could you pls share the dealership and sales person ? Haven’t heard of any such great deals !

Hello @LiquidUte, I too am from Portland, Or. During my extensive search some months back the dealers had a ridiculous markup on SXP of 5-10k. I could not and would not pay that price. After further research on this forum I found a few great dealers. Kia of Muncie in IN 1300 below msrp, however long wait. Hilltop Kia, Richmond, CA at MSRP long wait but closer to Oregon. NowCar online, $300 markup and will deliver car to your home shorter wait time (when I ordered). Wish you luck in your search!!
Hello -
Hallen Kia in North Olmstead, Ohio sold me my Telluride AWD SX with Prestige and Tow pkg for MSRP. Call and ask for Tom McConville. Tell him Peter from Atlanta sent you.

I was checking NowCar online site and the prices look close to MSRP. Any one have experience buying from this website? Thanks!

Just picked up my wolf grey EX on Friday. Royal Kia in Tucson AZ is doing no mark up. Could be a good option for anyone in the area or willing to drive.

Thanks for the feedback. Please post your experience once you get the delivery! Also, I read on website that payment needs to be made by cash or their financing only? Is that a true understanding.

I've been in contact with Nathaly at nowcar via email, and am on the waiting list for an SX AWD. She tells me that they will work with Kia financing. In fact and of note, the price they show you currently at now car includes the $500 rebate available from financing with Kia at the 2.25% APR or higher rate. The 1.9% APR from Kia does not have an associated rebate. So if you finance at the 1.9% or with another lender than Kia (or maybe norcar's finance) the price will actually be $500 more. So if you have a price quoted at MSRP, it's actually $500 more when you consider that the rebate has been applied. Still works for me.

Is anyone interested in a SXP NF in everlasting silver at MSRP? I just cancelled an order in MD

Yes, that is a true statement. I am using their financing then r/f with my cu for lower interest rate.

Hmm, that doesn't quite seem to jive with what I was hearing from nowcar as they said they would work with Kia Financing. Unless I misunderstand.

Thanks for the nowcar recommend btw. I cancelled my order with the dealer in Oregon a few days ago after I asked if they could get closer to nowcar's deal. They wouldn't come off of the 3K markup. I'll probably be waiting a couple extra months, but that's worth 3K to me. I'm wondering if my order might turn into a '22 and I hope there's not an MSRP increase on the '22. 😬 Hope it all goes well for both of us.

Curious- if there is any damage/issue with the delivery? Do we have any recourse at all after 5 days(I see there is a 5 day return policy on the website). Thanks!

So, I reached out to Kia of Lawrence in response to another member’s post about great pricing there. They offered 1% below MSRP if you are willing to order and wait. Not terrible, but not good enough for us to go out of state for. We can get MSRP here in M

Hello, Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes NowCar do work with KMF the rates are higher and they don't have the 1.9 rate KMF is offering. I was saying after I take ownership of my vehicle I was going to refi with my cu for lower rate. :)

Just spoke with someone from Kia of Lawrence. They have some very similar to what I am looking for coming in at the end of the month, but when I asked about pricing, he said they are currently going for an average of $3,500 over MSRP.

If you're able to wait a bit you can buy at or below (Kia of Muncie Costco pricing) MSRP. Everyone has their own reasons & timeline, but paying over MSRP would never, ever be an option for me. Can't condone that dealership business model. That's me & my money. I understand others may feel differently. Search the GOOD DEALER listings & see if any are near you. I flew from VA to IN to get my Telly b/c I refused to give my business to the local vultures.

Which dealer is offering Costco pricing?

I also have a hard time paying MSRP for a KIA. I'm in South Florida and one dealer yesterday told me they would "only" charge me a 3k mark up on my order. Another told me MSRP, but even that's nonsense. The market will change and I hope everyone remembers the prick dealers.

You should easily be able to order your car at invoice, plus tax title and dealer fee. The dealer get a sold unit sale, plus the dealer fee, plus the holdback and everyone is happy. they'd get twice as many sales.

But the limited production due to the B.S. virus will change and they'll be begging for our business.

This car has been out for almost 2 years now, demand has not let out one bit! The reason these dealerships get Away with it, is there are some people who actually are happy to shell out up to $10k just to get a car immediately. Don’t know if this car would ever sell for invoice but you can most definitely order for MSRP.
Best of luck!
