• THIS SECTION IS ONLY FOR DISCUSSIONS RELATING TO BUYING A TELLURIDE. PLEASE USE A DIFFERENT SECTION FOR POSTING MESSAGES ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN BUYING A TELLURIDE. THANK YOU!

  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Maybe it's me, but when I emailed this dealer and asked if they charge over the MSRP on special orders this was their response.

"So to clarify a little, we don't charge the $2995 on special orders, at this time we charge that on every Telluride, simply because of supply and demand. That being said, if you order now and when your Telluride arrives and we happen to not charge the markup when it's delivered, you would not pay the markup. (I honestly don't see that scenario happening any time soon, sadly) "

Thanks

Ron

Wow, if double talk we’re an Olympic sport that guy would win a gold medal 🥇 I would look for another dealer.

It means prepared to get screwed when it gets delivered with a markup.

Regardless of what dealer you go with, before putting down money for an order, ask for a total out-the-door pricing breakdown. It should show the purchase price, any markups or dealer prep, any discounts for financing, any required add-ons, document prep fee, license/title, sales tax, etc. Some of the state fees may be estimates but should be very close. My dealer was happy to provide it, and stuck to it exactly upon delivery months later. Rather than trying to decipher cryptic language, having an agree-upon pricing structure, in writing, removes all the ambiguity.

Good advice. That's exactly what I did.
