SX Seattle here. I’m consistently getting 21 in city and 26-28 on highway, while driving almost exclusively in Smart Mode.
Do you normally drive 110 mph on family vacations? Because if your going the speed limit (or whereabouts) you should be closer to 5-6 hours. That would only be with a roof top carrier and a car full of people and stuff. Otherwise you should easily get 10 more MPGs on the highway at 75 mphWhile this is decent mileage, the range is kinda a disappointment for me...when I’m doing 700+ miles a day on vac, stopping every 3 hrs for fuel is a pain....
I didn’t go any trips over 30 minutes until just recently. It’s like once i hit over 1000 miles and then I went on the freeway the numbers really started improving. City miles are just ok but highway is pretty dang good.I have been a bit underwhelmed with my mileage..I’m hoping because it’s brand new..I have 836 miles on my SX FWD and am rarely seeing anything above 23mpg...most the time in the 19-21mpg range. I have been babying this thing as well. Driving it like a grandma in eco or smart mode..never making it downshift & VERY RARELY making it rev above 4K especially for this break in period..I’m not sure what the problem is with my MPGS...I start sooo slow off the line that people prob hate being behind me..I just don’t get it. I’m hoping thing will improve.
I see you guys posting these stellar numbers and I’m over here grandma-ing my Telly in hopes of something remotely close..
I don't have that little speed limit sign on mine... What gives?I think this was a trip to work.
Thats only on the SX model. The lower 3 trims dont have the full color digital cluster in the middleI don't have that little speed limit sign on mine... What gives?

That’s really nice, mine is better but less ppl and stuff. You probably paid so much extra of B.C. GASCanadian Telluride SX
AWD
I just returned from a week long trip from BC, Vancouver Island to Edmonton and logged about 3500 km(Approx 2200 miles). This trip was a mixed bag of city/Hwy with the Coast Mountains and Canadian Rockies on the way there and then again on the way back. My average for the trip was 9.4 l/100 km(approx 25 miles to the gallon(us).
I have to say I have done this trip several times in a variety of vehicles and the Telluride did not disappoint. The whole trip was done in eco mode and absolutely no power issues climbing, passing etc. even passing in the steep mountain passes the Telluride did not miss a beat. The vehicle was also loaded with 5 people, a dog and gear that filled every available space. could not see out of the rear window the gear was packed in so tight.
Extremely pleased with my decision to purchase the telluride.
Quite a difference in price between BC and Alberta, and with the mountain driving and the weight in the vehicle I wasn't expecting anything great, Just two of us did a day trip to Stettler and back to Edmonton and it was 8.4 l/100km...pretty flat and no load and the majority was highway. I expect with regular driving my numbers will improve. That’s really nice, mine is better but less ppl and stuff. You probably paid so much extra of B.C. GAS
