In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

What did they tell you on timeline? Lewis told me 6-8 months. Also, are you in the Portland area? Im in Camas and am wondering about cost to ship.
I was advised 6-8 months as well. I haven't looked into shipping, I am still debating on driving it back since its only 9 hours to Portland and a beautiful ride in spring/summer. I was advised shipping should be 600-800 however, I haven't researched that far ahead yet

Wondering about expectations for price off msrp—my dealer is now taking orders but will only do it for msrp. Any ideas about negotiating price or expected rebates/incentives? Are other Kia models discounted much?
Dealers around us (NW Arkansas) are charging 20% above SRP. One dealer is buying slightly used 2021 Tellurides from Florida with ~1,000 miles on them and still tacking on an up charge.
We drove a couple hours down the road and ordered SX Prestige Nightfall without the up charge.

Just bought mine from Lawton Kia in Lawton Oklahoma, although I live in Dallas Texas. The car is a 2021 Telluride S. Most dealers were 3-5k above MSRP around here plus 1-2k in dealer add ons. We got the car, had a few additional options like roof rack, interior ambient lighting, cargo cover, fabric floor mats, mud guards, etc that brought the MSRP to $37,560. On top of that the dealer gave us all weather floor mats, wheel locks, treated the interior and exterior with a protectant coating, added a brake safety feature (rear taillight flashes when braking) and tinted the windows. We purchased the car for for 37k plus applicable fees (TTL). So we were able to get 500 under MSRP plus the add ons. How did we do?
Was that FWD?

I like this strategy. Only I’m gonna tell them 6K under invoice.

Actually my real strategy is to wait a few months until real discounts (and the Palisade, which I’m also seriously considering) appear. Then I’m gonna search Auto Trader/Car Gurus for the lowest price in the country and ask a local dealer to beat the price.

My goal is 41K max for an SX Prestige (hey, that’s 6K under sticker!), maybe 42.5 for whatever the all-in Palisade is.
Not gonna happen,, ever..

Again, y’all are new here. The post is two years old, posted before anyone knew what the market for this vehicle was going to be.

I have one in order for MSRP, and given the current market for the vehicle, I’m OK with that.

I just picked up a Wolf Gray SX Nightfall for $400 over MSRP of $49,560 and they included the tint. It was ordered and the person backed out. There were 7 buyers at the dealership to buy it if I said no. It was a great opportunity I couldn't pass up. I drove it home and love it. I've been wanting a Telluride for 2 years and so glad I finally bought one. Well worth the hype and I love the Wolf Gray.

Good deal! Nice job!

Sure, the dealer is KIA at Sansone Auto Mall. It's in Woodbridge, NJ. They said it would take 6 weeks and asked for a $2,500 deposit. I was surprised that they could order it because other dealers have said no. They are charging MSRP and no other markups like other dealers. There is a $599 doc fee along with Tags/Title and Taxes
your never getting an order in 6 weeks,,unless it was a car they were already allocated,

My local dealer offered an EX for $2,200 over MSRP, which I didn't think was a great deal until I made some calls to dealers in nearby states. One charges $5K over MSRP, and the other is bold enough to charge $7K over!

Another person responding to a two year old post.

I ordered a Telluride SX Prestige, Gravity Gray w Nightfall / Gray interior from Hendrick in Cary, NC at MSRP, it will be ~4 months. Fred Anderson in Raleigh has one coming in at the end of March, but they wanted $3k over MSRP. I'm in no rush, fine waiting a few months for a few grand.

you are absolutely correct, i was really suspicious when the sales person told me 6 weeks because I knew it was more like 3 to 6 months. A few weeks later they called me to tell me that my order was accepted and it would be 3 months and one week as the ETA. I wasn't upset because I never expected the 6 week delivery to begin with

I ordered an SXP nightfall the beginning of January at MSRP. The dealer is 6 hours away (I’m flying upstate to pickup the car). I do not have an ETA yet, but I just though to myself ...

WHAT IF THE DEALER CHANGES THE PRICE BY ADDING FEES, THE DAY I ARRIVE TO PICK UP MY CAR ?

I gave a $500 deposit. I received a document called PURCHASE TRANSACTION, the options I ordered are not itemized and my $500 deposit is not clearly listed, it does list the $10,000 down I planned to make, in order to finance the car.

What documents should I request in order to be guaranteed that the price will not change?
