Order to delivery time

How do you find out what day your order was accepted? I've never heard anything or received notification that my order was accepted, but I have spoken to the dealer to get better time frames and they make it sound like everything is all good, just a waiting game.

I called my dealer and they were able to tell me the accepted date.

Update! Getting my VIN in the morning, ETA of July 7th, fingers crossed I get it before the fourth of July holiday

You go girl. Happy for you. Lets hope now that both lines at plant are doing Tellurides everyone will get them sooner than later. Still June 26 here

Ordered on March 23rd and my SXP arrived today. Dark Moss with tow. Unfortunately, the carrier backed the car into a truck while unloading and cracked the rear taillight housing. Unbelievable! No paint damage. Told new taillight is on order with an expected install to occur Friday. Demanded they remove that dealer sticker too! The wait continues...she's almost home.

just got the call from my dealer, ordered the very end of march , ebony black with black interior SXP , AWD, with towing added not the towing package also threw on the illuminated scuff plates, dealer just got a delivery date from kia of 6/28. we will see how close it is to that actual date fingers crossed..

I ordered SXP Everlasting Silver with AWD, towing package, wheel locks, and racks on 4/4. Order was accepted on 4/5. Went to the dealership today, still no date for production....

Got a call from the dealership today, I'm off the wait-list and moved to production!!!! They are expecting delivery mid to late July... Hopefully it's much sooner!!! The wait is unbearable... (1st world problems and super selfish, but dang the 3-4 month wait!!!!)

Hi All,

Ordered the White/Dune Nappa SX-P on April 16th in NJ. I went in on Friday to the dealership and the manager said that we're looking at a late July delivery because of the bottleneck on the nappa leather (which I already knew about because of this forum). Thats about 15-16 weeks from order to delivery. Is anyone else receiving time frames like this?

Yes, I ordered mine and was accepted 4/5, just got the word today it went to production and it will be mid to late July for delivery.

My dealer told me they got word last week that I'm "in the queue" which I assume means order accepted. Not sure how long it will be to production or delivery yet, but that's about 3.5 weeks from order to "in the queue" for me.

How much different could the order have been? Once you pick a package the only real option is towing and all-wheel drive..... Other than the prestige option. Just wondering how different your order was based on what you originally asked for

Has anyone ordered their Telluride with the skid plate? Is that a dealer-installed or factory-installed accessory? I'm wondering if having that or other accessories is holding up any orders...

The only thing we’ve heard that is holding up orders is the napa leather seats. I’ve also seen a few people say their dealer told them the grey Nappa seats are the hardest ones to supply.

I ordered the SX Prestige (black on black) on May 17th and was called at the end of last week and informed that they can't put the order in and don't have an estimate of when they will be able to do so. They're refunding the deposit. Too bad they can't keep up with the demand, great vehicle with the right options at a good price. Have fun everyone that gets one!

Has anyone ordered just an S model? I Can't find the colors I want in my area at all and one dealer quoted 6-10 weeks but I don't want it to be 3-4 months (Got a baby on the way!). But maybe it's just taking that long for an SX prestige?

I have checked in once every week or so for a status update and occasionally I will get a response that it "hasn't gone into production, yet". They have contacted me a couple of times when they have received a new shipment in, just in case I was interested in purchasing one of them instead, but I haven't. I'm starting to worry that my dealer is giving me the run-around. I really had my heart set on the one that I ordered, but I don't know how much longer I can wait.

Kia can accept the order, but the allocation is different. Each dealership is allocated so many cars per month that they can order based on sales and a bunch of other stuff I'm not familiar with. However, as I understand it, when something is purchased it is sent as party of the allocation, so my dealership for example is allowed 5 allocations (cars) per month. Of those cars, they were only allowed 1 of them to be a Telluride. So Kia accepted my order, but I had to wait for my dealership to be able to order the car and receive it. Hopefully that helps a little bit. It's a pretty basic explanation, and I'm sure they're are others who know the process better, but that's how my dealership explained it to me when I went in bent out of shape about it taking so long to get the car.

I ordered an SXP a week before you and just got word it went to production.
My understanding is that they are only building the SX PRESTIGE at the moment and process one build per line. They have to ability to build 100 cars per week with the Sorento line being concerned to Telluride.
The SXPs got backed up due to a shortage of Captain chairs, Napa leather, and black rims. So while they waited on those items, they pushed out other builds. Now they are playing catch up on the SXPs.
Again, this is information I honestly not only from my dealership, but also the forum. If I have misspoken, please correct me. Fingers crossed you get your date soon!!!
