If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... But the question is, what's their mark-up?

Can you share Helens' phone or email. Thanks!!!
I contacted Fort Bend Kia and I was told an 8 month wait. I ended up ordering from Van Griffith Kia in Granbury at MSRP. Only charge was $399 for a window tint which I was fine with and $399 for the actual custom order. Again, I was fine with that too. was told 3-5 months, but most orders were not taking as long. Local dealers in San Antonio were charging BS fees of $5k and saying that Kia wasn’t accepting orders. They seriously think the consumers are idiots. I said bye Felicia. Ordered a 2022 SX AWD in Sangria w/Tow.

Had a great experience at Fort Bend Kia near Houston, TX with Helen. I went in and ordered a 2021 Telluride 6 weeks ago and was told delivery would be 4-6 months. I was disappointed but understood. My salesperson contacted me two weeks ago and had a customer who canceled their order and it was the same model I had ordered but even better was a 2022! I was in at 9am and out by 1030. Helen fully walked me through all the features of the car. Best buying experience ever!

Thanks to this forum, I found Fort Bend Kia and Helen. Quick call today, was able to order a Telluride SX Nightfall at MSRP. Absolutely delighted after being quoted minimum $7k over MSRP by the couple of other Kia dealers I spoke with. Such an easy and great experience that decided on the spot to also pick up a 2022 Seltos (was down to Seltos vs another car). When everyone else is charging high prices, have to reward those who are behaving differently.

I did an SX Prestige AWD, Towing, Nightfall. They told me I got lucky in terms of timing - I ordered mid-April and my 2021 arrived on the lot July 2. When I ordered, I think they told me to expect 3-5 months, but it would likely be about 4. They do a $500 refundable deposit. Doc fees were $303.60. No dealer add on fees. I came with my own financing and they didn't give me a hard time.
Thanks for the info! I'm finally going to be getting my Telluride now that the fog light option is posted online. Still don't know if it's actually available since the two dealerships I've talked to told me they would give me MSRP if I placed an order, but have been very bad at responding. I'm going to get in contact with Berwyn Kia and hopefully I have similar luck. That's great that you were able to have your own financing with no problem. That's one of the things I wasn't sure about as well.
Just one question to be clear, they didn't add anything other than exactly what you ordered? I'm not even looking to order floor mats since I plan on buying weathertech from the factory store here in IL.

Just went ahead with an order with Hendricks in Cary. Wolf Gray, AWD, SX, Tow Package, Nightfall. Now the waiting begins. Stopped by our local dealer to see colors. They are marking them up $10,000. I told them I would drive across country if necessary to not pay additional markup. They matter of factly told me "you are not going to find a new SX at MSRP, no way, no how." I told them "If this is the case, I will be back." FWIW, they had FOUR brand new ones on the lot Friday afternoon. All four sold Saturday, with the big markup. Can't really blame them if they can get it. And I don't have a car yet, and those four customers do.

I had an amazing experience at Celebration Kia in Central Ohio. I walked on the lot back in February and was greeted by Colleen. Told her I was there to look at a Telluride (at that time I had no clue about the Telluride or the demand). She told me they sell at MSRP and she had an S trim that just came off the truck and had not been processed yet. I could look at but couldn't drive it until it was processed. Looked it over told her I was interested but wanted to test drive before committing. So I was scheduled to test drive next day after it got processed. Unfortunately the Kia system went down and it took a week before I was able to drive it. Colleen kepted me updated and made sure I was able to squeeze in a test drive before they sold it.

During that week, I found this forum and learned a lot. At the very end of February, I told Colleen I was looking for a SX and wanting it in May. She called me March 13th and said they had my dream car coming in on May 24th. Put down a deposit $1k and the waiting game began. I reached out in April and Colleen answered my questions and helped calm my anxiousness and gave ETA update of May 30th.

On May 6th, I saw my VIN on failcat and texted to ask for an update. Colleen replied and shared details including an ETA of the 20th.

On May 13th, She called to update me about the ETA. She set it up just right telling me she had an update and reminded me of the previous ETAs. I thought she was going to extend the date as SC had said the 24th. Instead she asked me what I was doing tomorrow. I was shocked and it took a second to realize my ride was here a week early.

I worked it out to pick up on my way home from work, test drive, then come back to do the paperwork. She texted throughout the day to collect any needed details ahead of time. When I arrived, she made sure I knew how things worked and off I went.

Came back with my husband and the needed additional paperwork. She went over the purchase price of MSRP, doc fees, tax, and the warranty ($2500). I told her take off the warranty and we have a deal. She immediately did as I asked. The managers encouraged her to try to get us to finance through them. They even offered a rate and term slightly lower than my credit union but I told them I was sticking with my own financing.

We did have a small wait for their finance guy. They had 4 Tellurides that came in on that truck and we all picked up after work on Friday. The wait was no big deal to me given the situation. The finance guy did offer us the standard extra packages. He accepted my no thank yous. He did offer the warranty again and also accepted my no thank you.

The store manager made sure I got copies of all my receipts including the deposit I did over the phone.

Colleen texted me Saturday to see how the family was enjoying the new ride and apologized again for the wait for finance.

I never felt pressured even when they were doing their up sales. Celebration Kia and Colleen made the process easy. I will be buying a used car from them for my teen in the next few months.
Hi Christi! Do you by chance have her contact info? I live in Columbus OH & hoping to get in contact with a trustworthy sales rep & would love to reach out to Colleeen!

Ordered my vehicle earlier in the month but hasnt gotten picked up in KFOS yet. Got a call from another dealer today saying he got dealer allocated what i was looking for and it will be in next month. I put a deposit on the car but he said he doesnt have a VIN yet. Is that odd not to have a VIN for something you should be getting in less than a month? I checked failcat and don't see the car in there for the dealer either. Hopefully this actually comes thru.

My VIN posted on failcat on the 6th of May and dealership got the VIN the same day. The date on the tag of the door has May 5th. My dealership is only 12 hours from plant. My ride was at the dealership on May 13th. So yes it can be very fast. I had my ETA for more than 2 months. VIN for only a week.

I'm currently working with Nicole in Colorado at i25 - So far, so good! Giving deposit tomorrow and no MSRP mark-up. I'm in SoCal, the mark up is crazy here!

Great news! I placed my order last week with i25 and they were still charging MSRP plus 695. Norcal markup is still bad if you can even find what you want.

Hi Folks, I recently came back home in NJ after a 2 year assignment overseas .. need to have a car in 2 weeks and veering towards Telluride - would highly appreciate any recommended dealers in NJ area .. Thanks in advance !

We had a great experience buying our 2022 SX from Classic Kia in Waukegan, IL. Ask for Jennifer Pratt!

Folks - I just got to know that Nutley Kiah in NJ sells at MSRP with no markup as a policy .. they only sell to in-state residents .. they obviously have a backlog but thought I relay the info in case it helps someone who is looking to book and wait ..
